What's even more insane is how is this on LINKEDIN??! A professional networking site FFS!!! Says more about the owner of the website (Reid Hoffman (Jew??) than anything if you ask me:

Good luck with that, old man shouting at cloud

Especially apt since 'Aotearoa' literally means 'Land of the long white cloud

Also note face shapes of Watson and Peacocke.

Woke comments:

The more boomers here complain about Aotearoa being accepted as an official name the more I use it tbh - if anything I think we should make the full official switch so at the very least we can come in above Australia in alphabeticized lists

Quote
Dude Aotearoa is a way cooler name than ‘new whateverthefuck place that already exists’

Blame the dutch

These racist **** are just complaining that something that isn't white is being used and extrapolating that to a (stupid and very factually incorrect) argument that somehow we're erasing white history. Which is dumb. If anything time and time again it's Māori history, language and culture that has been erased or repressed.

Quote
These colonisers talking about their identity on the land thy stole is hilarious

Quote
It's so funny how triggered the old white people get about Aotearoa / New Zealand.

Quote
I wouldn't relate this to the age group.

Shitty behavior is quite common amongst all age groups and if anything the youngest male adult group is the most toxic at the moment.

I agree with the last comment. So, what should be done with this group?

I fuckin wish these dickheads would have more than just their identity removed

This.

It's the cruise ship that's named Victoria Isabella, not the tour.

"Victoria Isabella"

By the name of the cruise, do you mean the name of the tour, or do you mean the name of the ship itself?

Either way, you can't only blame it only on the US business; if enough local customers were turned off by the name enough to react by boycotting the service, the business (whose objective is to make a profit) will change the name. If anything, the business choosing such a name suggests that it is profitable, which says something about what the customers think about such a name. Recall back here:

Ganten is a Chinese-owned business:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganten

Quote
Ganten (Chinese: 景田; pinyin: Jǐngtián; Jyutping: ging2 tin4) is a premium[1] bottled water brand from China. The brand is owned by Shenzhen Ganten Food & Beverage Co., Ltd, a company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.

It still produced such Eurocentric commercials:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganten#Commercials

Quote
A series of commercials for Ganten Water was filmed in Scotland. It was produced by Freakworks, based in Edinburgh:[4] "Ganten: Mesmerise" (2013),[5][6][7] filmed in Edinburgh and "Ganten: Source", filmed at Glasgow City Chambers, Stirling Castle, and Smoo Cave in Durness.[8] Both were directed by Hamish Allison and feature the Poland-born model Magdalena Zalejska. The third in the series was also filmed in Edinburgh.[9] The fourth in the series was filmed in 2015 at Dean Village.[10][11] Another commercial, "Ganten: Pure", was filmed at Blairquhan Castle.[12] Another commercial featuring Jing Tian and Donny Lewis was filmed at Winton Castle.[13] Ganten water is sourced from Huizhou, in Guangdong Province.[14]

Just returned from a trip in Mainland China that included a river cruise on the Yangzi River which is supposed to be the largest river cruise in the world. Quite to my disappointment however, it is named Victoria Isabella. I was expecting this cruise that operates in China to have a Chinese name, and even if it had to be named an English one, it would not be something as colonial as Victoria or Isabella. I later found out that the cruise is run by a company called Victoria Cruises registered in New York - no wonder. What an anti-climax!

While the term "Middle East" is unsatisfactory, I at least prefer it to "West Asia", in the same way that I prefer "non-white" over "black" etc.. In each case, the former terms make the othering overt:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_question

whereas the latter terms sugarcoat it with apparently positive identity.

Also, it is not yet clear which side this guy is actually on (note use of the term "Kurdistan"):

"tel aviv" does not exist. it is a fiction manufactured for and by the settlers, who continue to find themselves locked inside yaffa despite their horrifying erasure of it late 1940s onwards. yaffa is older than "tel aviv," and these flames devouring these settlerscapes today

Berwick Springs Lake, southeast of Melbourne, has been renamed Guru Nanak Lake after Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the Sikh faith.

The racially inferior of course dislike it:

Quote
“I’m sorry but what an absolute joke,” one woman wrote on Facebook.

Another local slammed it as “outrageous”. “Where was the community consultation?” they said.

One wrote, “No consultation. This must be reversed immediately. We have lived in the Berwick Springs estate for 25 years. How can you change the name without the residents being notified?”

One local said it was “so wrong”. “I’ll be fighting for it to be reverted back,” he wrote. “This has no relevance whatsoever and is creating further division. Watch this space, the residents are furious. Appalling.”

Their sole attempt at argumentation:

Quote
One noted, “Guru Nanak wasn’t exactly a local

True, but neither is Berwick:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berwick,_Victoria

Quote
It was named by an early leaseholder, Robert Gardiner, after his birthplace, Berwick-on-Tweed in Northumberland.[3]

At least Sikhs never colonized Australia. Between two non-local names, the non-colonial one is preferable.

Another success:

Quote
The site named after U.S. Sen. Thomas Clingman in 1859. He was a renowned explorer and the first person to accurately measure the peak’s elevation. He later served as a general in the Confederate War.

And since Clingman was a white guy and he fought in the Confederate War – well – you know the rest of the story.

The U.S. Board of Geographic Names voted in favor of changing the name to Kuwohi – a Cherokee Indian word meaning “mulberry place.”

“This significant moment honors our ancestors and strengthens our connection to this sacred land,” said Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Chief Michell Hicks in a written statement.

The effect of the vote will be that all plants, fungi and algae names that contain the word caffra, which originates in insults made against Black people, will be replaced by the word affra to denote their African origins.

That is hardly an improvement. "Africa" itself is a Eurocentric term as we have explained countless times. "Affra" (also why 2 "f"s?) would only be a non-offensive name if the plant originated in the red area:
