Now, more women are adopting short hair, baggy pants, and loose shirts as a statement of independence. Meanwhile, marriage and birth rates in South Korea have hit historic lows. Socioeconomic factors play a role – but for many women, it’s a conscious rejection of patriarchal norms – still deeply embedded in South Korean society. The movement has also sparked backlash from many South Korean men, who often reject even moderate forms of feminism, which remains highly stigmatized. A report by Caroline Bergmann.

This recent paper reports that diversity – whether through racial integration or immigration – reduces childbearing for all races.
The authors control for every imaginable confounding variable and conclude that “the rise in racial diversity in the US since 1970 explains 44% of the decline in birth rates during that period, and 89% of the drop since 2006.”

A lot of us who were born into lower middle class and poor families can understand this. Our parents sometimes couldn't afford basic needs. People always talk about the sacrifices and hardwork of parents, how they fed you even when they were starving. But these people could've simply saved the life of a child from all these **** by simply chosing not to have one.
I've two elder siblings. Making me was totally unnecessary. Now I'm suffering. I'm living everyday just because i was born. I'm struggling. I haven't had a happy day in years. I went into depression and i can't even afford to see a therapist. My parents got no money but they got a lot of stories of how they worked hard to raise me.
.... I didn't even ask to be born. You made me. You failed in life. And you thought having me would help you somehow. And I've become nothing but an extension of your problems. STOP making children!!!!
You're not getting anywhere in this particular instance with that approach, I'm afraid. Family planning is economic planning. Children do not have to be subjected to the trauma of poverty. If you can't feed a baby, then don't have a baby.

And the list goes on… passing down your genes is a death sentence for someone else for your sadistic gratification.
Universal reproductive health services would go a long way to advancing the basic human right to not procreate. It's only underfunded by a few hundred billion dollars. That's being given to war profiteers instead.

On 25 January 2017, President Maduro again named his son as the director of a newly established position, the Director General of Presidential Delegations and Instructions of the Vice President, raising more allegations of nepotism.[14]
Jose Zalt wedding incident
At the wedding of Jose Zalt, a Syrian-Venezuelan businessman that owns the clothing brand Wintex, on 14 March 2015, Maduro Guerra was showered with American dollars at the gathering in the luxurious Gran Melia Hotel in Caracas.[15][16][17][18] The incident caused outrage among Venezuelans who believed this to be hypocritical of President Maduro, especially since many Venezuelans were experiencing hardships due to the poor state of the economy and due to the president's public denouncements of capitalism.[16][19][20][21][22][23] During a PSUV National Congress, Maduro Guerra responded to the incident, calling it "gossip".[24]

During a first communion party in the Creole Club of Maracaibo, a woman named Rita Morales took photographs of Maduro Guerra with her cellphone. According to witnesses, Maduro arrived at the party surrounded by bodyguards and far from the rest of the guests. The bodyguards tried to take the cellphone away from Morales and force her to delete the pictures after realizing that Maduro was photographed. Morales refused and left the party; days after the incident, she was visited by officers that, according to witnesses, broke her cellphone. On 8 June 2017, officers of the Bolivarian Intelligence Service (SEBIN) detained Morales and her husband when they were about to aboard a private flight to Aruba in the La Chinita International Airport. Morales was taken to the SEBIN headquarters in El Helicoide.[25][26][27][28]
