With a face we would expect:

Investigators share new details about tree trimming serial killer
Action News Now Anchor Hayley Watts shares new information about how investigators caught and convicted serial killer Ryan Blinston in Butte County.

It's so messed up to hurt and kill anybody, but to target the most vulnerable in our society like children and the elderly? Evil.
being a landscaper has got to be  the  worst gimmick a serial killer ever had.

The last comment obviously reminded me of what Israel does to the Palestinians in Gaza:

Mow the Lawn: Israel’s Strategy For Perpetual War With the Palestinians
Israel's confidence that it could go on indefinitely “mowing the lawn” without seeking a political solution may seem accurate. But the mowing may not merely be perpetual, but self-perpetuating.

Which in turn then reminded me of:

“I keep coming back to this, and I am so irritated. The same type of bulls**t is how Carolyn Bryant got Emmett Till killed. It’s how white women have facilitated the deaths of Black men for centuries,” wrote one person.

Another commented, “That white man told the Black kid to just give up the bike he paid for to that white woman because she felt entitled to it. That’s the sort of perspective that white [people], if they heard it from anyone else’s lips, would call extremely un-American.”

And a third tweeted, “This is horrific behavior that could have got these guys arrested, assaulted, or worse. White women’s tears (although there didn’t actually seem to be any tears) are dangerous.”

Where was the victim's firearm?

Cheating during competitive Gentilism:

Fischer — yes, that’s his real surname — was looking forward to the end of a long tournament season, working his way through the catches of the 30 elite two-angler teams. He weighed the fish of angler after angler, picking up their fish and setting them on a scale. Late in the proceedings, the anglers of boat No. 12, Chase Cominsky and Jake Runyan, brought their five-fish catch up for weighing. They needed to beat 16.89 total pounds to claim Team of the Year honors and $30,000 in various prizes.

Their catch’s weight: 33.91 pounds.

The silence that greeted Fischer’s announcement was the first sign that something was very much amiss. No applause, no cheers, just silence. And then the muttering started.

“Damn,” one man said in disbelief, “thirty-three?”

“Your fish are so much bigger than his!” another said, apparently trying to reconcile what he saw with what the scale read.

A third simply declared, “No f***ing way.”

As Runyan and Cominsky posed with their fish, Fischer decided to take a closer look. He’d spent his life around walleye, and he knew that the five fish he was looking at should weigh somewhere around 15 to 20 pounds, certainly not more than 30. The crowd milled about, uncertain what to do next. “We’re going to do a little tallying up,” Fischer said to the crowd.

Then he knelt beside one of the fish, took out a fillet knife, and slit open the belly of the fish. He reached his finger in and withdrew a chunk of lead with a dramatic flourish.

“We’ve got weights in fish!” he shouted.

And then all hell broke loose.

Thomas, of course:

Of course Cousins is (again) incorrect about there being nothing we can do. We can apply the Second Amendment.

This one got some prison time:

Woman jailed for eight-and-a-half years after false grooming gang claims | ITV News
A 22-year-old woman has been jailed for eight-and-a-half years after falsely claiming to have been the victim of an Asian grooming gang.

Eleanor Williams, of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, was sentenced at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday after making a series of false **** allegations.

In a Facebook post in May 2020, which was shared more than 100,000 times, she described being beaten, abused and trafficked by Asian men.

She also posted pictures of her injuries, but the court heard that she had caused them to herself, with a hammer.

Right-wing activist James O’Keefe resigned Monday morning from his position leading Project Veritas, the conservative group he founded, after clashing for weeks with his board.
In a statement posted Monday night responding to O’Keefe’s video, Project Veritas’s board claimed it was legally required to call a board meeting after it discovered O’Keefe committing what it described as “financial malfeasance.”

According to the statement, the board’s list of alleged misspending incurred by the nonprofit at O’Keefe’s direction included a $14,000 charter flight to meet someone who could repair his boat. Other alleged expenses included $150,000 over 18 months on private “black cars”and thousands of dollars on “DJ and other equipment.”

The board also accused O’Keefe of wasting $60,000 on “dance events.”
Those alleged expenses, according to screenshots provided by O’Keefe in the video, included frequent private-car trips and a $12,600 expense at a wedding hall that O’Keefe claimed was used for the organization’s holiday party.

BOSTON (Reuters) -A wealthy Russian businessman with ties to the Kremlin made tens of millions of dollars trading on secret financial information obtained by hackers about multiple companies before it was public, a U.S. prosecutor said Monday at the start of his trial.

Vladislav Klyushin, 42, and his associates made nearly $90 million trading stocks based on yet-to-be-announced information about hundreds of publicly-traded companies stolen by hackers, Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Frank told a federal jury in Boston.
