China's military expert: Nations should be on high alert for U.S. push for NATO's 'pivot to Asia'
Quote
China's senior military expert Zhang Chi said, "During the past 40 years, the U.S. and NATO caused a series of conflicts, turmoil, and even wars in the Middle East and Europe, resulting in severe humanitarian crises and disasters. We have reasons to be concerned that the U.S.-led NATO intervention in the Asia-Pacific region may bring about instability and unrest, and may even lead to conflicts and chaos."

Our message continues to grow in comments:

Quote
I think if China is given "permission" by the West and Western allies to manage The Far East and "help" Russia collapse in exchange for letting the West manage the Western territories of Russia (after it collapses), such a deal could benefit everyone

Quote
It's a matter of time when china will take over its stolen territories; ruZZia far east or known as Manchuria and Vladivostok, and it's possible without firing a single bullet.

Quote
With a weakened Russia, then China can expand itself out in the 'Stans' and rebuild the ancient Chinese sphere of influence they once had.

Quote
that's my conclusion as well, because the war makes ruzzia a client state of the PRC whom they can milk for resources quite cheaply and whom they can use as a market to take over
weak ruzzia is useful

Now if only Biden were willing to say this openly.....

Lack of communication between US and China: How dangerous could it be? | DW News
Quote
Japan and China have used a new military hotline for the first time. Years of negotiation culminated in a 20 minute phone call between the Japanese Defence Minister  and his Chinese counterpart.

A similar hotline has been in place between the Pentagon and the Chinese defense ministry since 2008. But that hasn't always worked.

Washington says Beijing refused to pick up the phone after shooting down a suspected Chinese spy balloon off the US coast in February. The presence of the spy balloon also led US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to postpone a visit to China

But both sides have moved to improve what is an alarming lack of communication, especially given the growing tensions over Taiwan. President Joe Biden's National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan met with China's top diplomat Wang Yi last week.

Tong Zhao is a senior fellow in the Nuclear Policy Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, as well as a visiting research scholar at Princeton University’s Science and Global Security Program.

Rightists have noticed us and do not like us:

https://www.nationalreview.com/magazine/2021/11/01/the-anti-anti-china-left/

Quote
The Anti-Anti-China Left
...
When House Republicans proposed sanctions legislation last summer targeting the Chinese Communist Party’s political-influence networks, Gregory Meeks, the New York Democrat who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee, stonewalled the effort.
...
Meeks’s public explanation for his opposition to the sanctions, as I reported for National Review Online at the time, is at the heart of a new progressive line on China.
...
“Anti-China framing . . . inevitably feeds racism, violence, xenophobia, and white nationalism,” a coalition of these activist groups and the Quincy Institute, a noninterventionist think tank, wrote in a statement opposing the Senate companion to the EAGLE Act.
...
In an essay for Foreign Affairs this year, Stop AAPI Hate’s Russell Jeung and Quincy’s Jessica Lee call on President Biden to bring in “personnel with a diverse set of opinions on U.S.–Chinese relations, including those who do not believe that the only course forward is extreme competition.” They urge Congress to pass Meeks’s EAGLE Act instead of the bipartisan Senate-approved bill and ask public officials to avoid using terms such as “malign influence” and “existential threat.” This is deemed a corrective to “foreign-policy makers’ consistent overexaggeration of China’s threat.” Elsewhere, their fellow travelers have blamed congressional China hawks, including Tom Cotton, Marsha Blackburn, Rob Wittman, and others, for this sort of rhetoric.
...
The question now is whether the anti-anti-China Left will be as successful at shaping U.S. foreign policy as it has been at proffering a blinkered understanding of anti-Asian hate crimes. Already, there are signs that officials have accepted the faulty premises of social-justice activists, including the view that there’s something inherently wrong with enacting policies explicitly designed to counter the totalitarian Chinese party-state
...
Coupled with Biden officials’ attempts to bring the White House’s focus on “systemic racism” into foreign policy, and their pledge to simultaneously seek cooperation with Beijing amid the broader competition, the progressive anti-anti-China narrative has even begun to enter the Democratic mainstream.

As anti-anti-China activists complain that policies advanced by Joe Biden inflate the Chinese threat, the administration is starting to concede their premises. The State Department hosted a panel discussion in October exploring “possible links between U.S. foreign policy and anti-Asian” sentiment. Although U.S. officials stopped short of endorsing the claim that hawkish China policy causes racism, Representative Judy Chu (D., Calif.) urged them “to refrain from rhetoric that singles out China alone as a threat,” and a panelist from the Southern Poverty Law Center endorsed the work of Stop AAPI Hate. In the coming weeks, the Department of Homeland Security will host a similar panel in conjunction with the Asian American Foundation, a new outfit co-founded by Joseph Tsai, the Alibaba executive who has defended Beijing’s squelching of the Hong Kong pro-democracy movement.

https://freebeacon.com/democrats/squad-member-jamaal-bowman-says-xenophobia-behind-republican-push-to-ban-tiktok/

Quote
Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D., N.Y.) on Tuesday said "xenophobia around China" was behind the Republican push to ban TikTok.
...
Bowman’s defense of the Chinese spyware app comes as Democrats increasingly acknowledge that TikTok gives the party an advantage over Republicans because of its appeal to younger, liberal voters. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, who would have oversight of any TikTok ban, said this month that "the politician in me thinks you’re gonna literally lose every voter under 35, forever," if the site is banned. Bradley Beychok, the head of the Democratic group, American Bridge 21st Century, called TikTok a "valuable weapon" for Democrats that the party "wouldn’t want taken off the shelf."

Is China paying attention? As I keep saying, the only hope for improving US-China relations is to appeal to the US left by deliberately angering the US right.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/putin-war-headed-terrifying-escalation-122005991.html

The correct move is becoming more and more obvious:

Quote
Perhaps some agreement between China and the United States could be made that if China refrains from visits to Russia we could refrain from visits to Taiwan

Quote
The only country with a large enough population to take Russia is China.

Quote
What is better than retaking Siberia and harvesting its’ resources? Owning the people that harvest those resources and then sell you those resources at below harvesting cost.

Quote
China and India are milking Russia for all it is worth. In some near future China might try a land purchase in Siberia. You know how France and Russia had to sell territory to the US in the 19th century to keep fighting elsewhere. I am sure China is putting together an offer for water and oil rich areas in Siberia. An offer that Russia cannot refuse.

Quote
china already renting a lot of land in siberia, the next step is to buy it

Quote
Putin buddying up with Xi , and one day he looks out his window and see the Chinese army marching down Red Square .

But most people who can see the correct move fail to understand that Xi is too psychologically colonized to see it. If only Xi were the clear thinker that so many commenters (inaccurately) imagine him to be! Unfortunately, he is not.

https://us.yahoo.com/news/premier-li-urges-us-china-070910624.html

Quote
Premier Li Urges US-China Cooperation, Seeks ‘Concrete Actions’
...
(Bloomberg) -- New Premier Li Qiang called for China and the US to cooperate better, potentially opening the door for the nations to find a way past their recent tensions.
...
The comments suggest a new willingness by China to resume talks with the US since the alleged spy balloon incident roiled ties between the world’s biggest economies. The tone of Li’s comments contrast with remarks by Xi a week ago, when he sought to rally China’s private sector to help overcome “containment” by the US and other countries
...
Li said Monday that “China and the United States can and must cooperate,” adding that “encirclement and suppression are in no one’s interest.”

He added said China and the US were “closely intertwined economically,” saying that both nations benefited from each other’s development and pointing to last year’s two-way trade, which climbed to a record.

I agree. But then Li screws up:

Quote
“They all hope to see cooperation between all countries in the world.”

No. If the US and China are to cooperate, you must say explicitly whom they are to cooperate against. As long as you do not say it, US-China relations will not improve.

As we keep saying, the only hope for improving US-China relations depends on a shift among Blue politicians:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/republicans-slam-biden-energy-secretary-160841099.html

Quote
Republican lawmakers are tearing into U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm after she held up China as a model for the United States to emulate on climate change.

At the annual SXSW conference in Austin, Texas, on Friday, Granholm praised China's efforts to tackle climate change, saying the communist country "has been very sensitive, and has actually invested a lot in their solutions, to achieve their goals."

"We're hopeful that, you know, we can all learn from what China is doing," Granholm said.

Her comments drew a heated response from GOP House members, who accused her of "siding with China against American energy producers."

China's current approach of trying to win over Red and Blue indiscriminately will never succeed. The only approach with any chance of success is to use precisely Red anti-China sentiment:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/went-cpac-maga-supporters-pulse-122751559.html

Quote
I went to CPAC to take MAGA supporters' pulse – China and transgender people are among the top 'demons' they say are ruining the country

to fuel Blue pro-China sentiment. When will China finally understand this?

Why the COVID-19 Lab-Leak Theory Has New Credibility and Why It Matters | Amanpour and Company
Quote
With China-U.S. tensions on the increase, the origin of the coronavirus is one issue driving a wedge between the two nations. A hearing on Capitol Hill this week explored the potential causes of the COVID-19 outbreak. Jamie Metzl, who attended the hearing, warned U.S. lawmakers to not dismiss the hypothesis that the virus leaked from a Chinese lab. He speaks with Hari Sreenivasan about the importance of examining this theory.
