Schiff was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, the son of Edward and Sherrill Ann (née Glovsky) Schiff.[4] He was raised in a Jewish family that moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, in 1970 and Alamo, California, in 1972.[5] In 1978, he graduated from Monte Vista High School in Danville, California,[6][7] where he played soccer and was both the class salutatorian and the student his peers voted "most likely to succeed".[8][9]
Schiff received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Stanford University in 1982 and graduated with distinction.[10] He obtained his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School cum laude in 1985.[10][11] Schiff was a member of the Harvard Law School Forum; his tasks included driving guest speakers (including William J. Brennan Jr.) from the airport to campus and back.[12] He also worked as a student research assistant for Professor Laurence Tribe.[12]
In the days after Hamas attacked Israel earlier this month, Shlomo Karhi, the country’s communications minister, did something that was guaranteed to catch the attention of the American press: he called out Donald Trump, who had just criticized various Israeli officials and described Hezbollah as “very smart.” It is “shameful that a man like that, a former US president, abets propaganda and disseminates things that wound the spirit of Israel’s fighters and its citizens,” Karhi said. “We don’t have to bother with him and the nonsense he spouts.”https://www.cjr.org/the_media_today/israel_ban_al_jazeera_civil_liberties.php
A few days later, Karhi was in the news in Israel linked to similar language. But this time he and Trump would likely have agreed in principle: Haaretz, a liberal daily, reported that he was in the process of pushing through an aggressive clampdown on the news media. According to the story, Karhi wanted to be granted sweeping powers to arrest or confiscate the property of any civilians, including journalists, who spread information that in his view “undermines the morale of Israel’s soldiers and residents in the face of the enemy” or “serves as a basis for enemy propaganda”—including in cases where the information is true...

Have you seen the maga comments that "Fox firing Tucker is confirmation that Fox is now "woke".
A conservative commentator who sexually harassed AOC is suing her for blocking him on Twitter
...
Alex Stein, a commentator on TheBlazeTV, a media network founded by Glenn Beck, gained attention in June 2022 after he filmed himself yelling at Ocasio-Cortez, calling her his "favorite big booty Latina" and accusing her of wanting to "kill babies."
Sexually harassing a woman and DEMANDING access to do more damage. Yep, that is a REAL CONSERVATIVE.
Nobody has a right to be on a Twitter feed. If a person wants to block somebody, they can.
It is her "personal account", she can block whoever she wants, especially this guy who insulted her publically... He is the bully and she is the victim and he dares to sue her...
being block on any site is not an infringement of your free speech.
Republicans have a weird sense of grandiose entitlement.
Typical low life no class republican. Pulls a slimy stunt like that and then complains about it. I wish somebody would have blank slapped him right there on the steps.
The only thing we should be doing with conservatives is putting them in their graves
A former Virginia Tech soccer player who alleges that her coach benched her after she refused to kneel before a game, is going to get a $100,000 settlement.
Kiersten Hening was a midfielder for the Virginia Tech women’s soccer team between 2018 and 2020. She alleges that the team’s head coach Charles “Chugger” Adair took away her starting spot after she refused to kneel for a pre-game “unity statement” ahead of a game against UVA in September 2020.
...
She said that her political beliefs led to her coach berating her during halftime. Hening allegedly wagged his finger in her face and accused her of “bitching and moaning.” After the game, Hening claims that she was benched and pressured to leave the team.
The ex-Hokies midfielder claims that things got so out of hand that she did ultimately leave the team.
Hening filed a lawsuit in 2021 on the grounds that Adair had violated her First Amendment rights.
When we win, a statue of her will be erected in Blacksburg, VA.
In the near future, the soccer stadium at Virginia Tech will be renamed in honor of Kiersten Hening.
