The study, which was published in the journal Vaccine last week, found that the vaccine was linked to a slight increase in neurological, blood and heart-related medical conditions, according to a press release from GVDN.
People who received certain types of mRNA vaccines were found to have a higher risk of myocarditis, which is inflammation of the heart muscle.
Some viral-vector vaccines were linked to a higher risk of blood clots in the brain, as well as an increased likelihood of Guillain-Barre syndrome, a neurological disorder in which the immune system attacks the nerves.
Other potential risks included inflammation of part of the spinal cord after viral vector vaccines, and inflammation and swelling in the brain and spinal cord after viral vector and mRNA vaccines, the press release stated.

People who skipped their COVID vaccine are at higher risk of traffic accidents, according to a new study
If you passed on getting the COVID vaccine, you might be a lot more likely to get into a car crash.
Or at least those are the findings of a new study published this month in The American Journal of Medicine. During the summer of 2021, Canadian researchers examined the encrypted government-held records of more than 11 million adults, 16% of whom hadn’t received the COVID vaccine.
They found that the unvaccinated people were 72% more likely to be involved in a severe traffic crash—in which at least one person was transported to the hospital—than those who were vaccinated. That’s similar to the increased risk of car crashes for people with sleep apnea, though only about half that of people who abuse alcohol, researchers found.
The excess risk of car crash posed by unvaccinated drivers “exceeds the safety gains from modern automobile engineering advances and also imposes risks on other road users,” the authors wrote.
Of course, skipping a COVID vaccine does not mean that someone will get into a car crash. Instead, the authors theorize that people who resist public health recommendations might also “neglect basic road safety guidelines.”
Why would they ignore the rules of the road? Distrust of the government, a belief in freedom, misconceptions of daily risks, “faith in natural protection,” “antipathy toward regulation,” poverty, misinformation, a lack of resources, and personal beliefs are potential reasons proposed by the authors.
The findings are significant enough that primary care doctors should consider counseling unvaccinated patients on traffic safety—and insurance companies might base changes to insurance policies on vaccination data, the authors suggest.
First responders may also consider taking precautions to protect themselves from COVID when responding to traffic crashes, the authors added, as it’s more likely that a driver is unvaccinated than vaccinated.
“The findings suggest that unvaccinated adults need to be careful indoors with other people and outside with surrounding traffic,” the authors concluded.

After thinking about what Zea_Mays has said, I now have a different opinion on vaccines. I support it as a temporary solution, but do not support the broader idea of using vaccinations to combat disease.

I also apply this to the whole medical system as well. Don't even get doctor's checkups (including that of dentists or eye doctors) unless absolutely needed.
People should realize that if you have high dietary fiber and have a healthy vegan diet, you can easily prevent getting sick, since dietary fiber easily prevents appendicitis. Western diets have little to no dietary fiber in almost every meal, and they wonder why they have high rates of appendicitis.
Even tonsillitis can be easily prevented with sunshine and a vegan diet.

A highly-mutated descendant of the Omicron variant of the SAR-CoV-2 virus that drove a record wave of infections starting around a year ago, XBB in many ways is the worst form of the virus so far. It’s more contagious than any previous variant or subvariant. It also evades the antibodies from monoclonal therapies, potentially rendering a whole category of drugs ineffective as COVID treatments.
“It is likely the most immune-evasive and poses problems for current monoclonal antibody-based treatments and prevention strategy,” Amesh Adalja, a public-health expert at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, told The Daily Beast in reference to XBB.

The implication, of course, is that we’re eventually going to need another new booster in order to keep pace with the fast-evolving virus.
No, the implication is that you need to LOCKDOWN and stop all transmissions (and hence all further evolution) once and for all.
More and more health officials are coming around to the idea of an annual COVID booster. U.S. president Joe Biden even endorsed the idea in a statement last month. “As the virus continues to change, we will now be able to update our vaccines annually to target the dominant variant,” Biden said. “Just like your annual flu shot, you should get it sometime between Labor Day and Halloween.”
But one booster a year might not be enough if, as some epidemiologists fear, natural antibodies fade faster and the novel-coronavirus mutates at an accelerating rate. One concern, if it turns out we need twice-a-year new boosters, is whether industry can develop fresh jabs fast enough and health agencies can swiftly approve them.
It is mutating at an accelerating rate BECAUSE you are accelerating the rate of boosters!
The virus isn’t done with us. Which means we can’t be done with it. Get boosted. And be prepared to get boosted again in 2023.

When the pharmaceutical industry scrambled to develop the first COVID vaccines back in 2020, it made sense that developers focused on the part of the virus that allows it to grab onto and infect our cells: the spike proteins.
The best vaccines contain a piece of the spike, or genetic data about the spike, either of which can spur an immune response. Not to be outdone, the virus has been mutating—with many of the changes occurring on that same spike.
But other parts of the virus are changing, too. Now, for the first time, a team of scientists has scrutinized these changes—and voiced a warning.
“With each major variant that has been identified, we are seeing mutations outside of [the] spike that we are trying to figure out,” Matthew Frieman, a University of Maryland School of Medicine immunologist and microbiologist and lead author of the new study, told The Daily Beast.
It’s possible the virus is accumulating non-spike mutations in an attempt to gain some advantage over our collective immunity as the COVID pandemic grinds toward its fourth year. These new mutations might not make the virus more infectious the way spike mutations do, but they could be associated with longer infections.
So have Western brains figured out what the problem is yet? Of course not, because Western brains are broken:
If this trend continues—and there’s no reason to believe it won’t—we might eventually need new antiviral drugs and new vaccine formulations that aren’t so specifically focused on the spike.

To understand the reason for, and effects of, the non-spike mutations, Frieman’s team cloned SARS-CoV-2 then started deleting the spike proteins and testing the resulting “deletion viruses” on mice, assessing how contagious the viruses were and how severe the infections were.

For now, it seems the spike and non-spike mutations are working together. The spike mutations make the virus steadily more contagious. “Mutations in [the] spike have been identified in every major variant that then out-competes the previous variant,” Frieman explained.
Meanwhile, the non-spike mutations appear to prolong infection. This in turn gives the pathogen more time to mutate inside a particular person, and also spread to other people. “We hypothesize that this balance is critical for further evolution of SARS-CoV-2,” Frieman’s team wrote.

Frieman said his goal is to scrutinize these non-spike mutations in order to “figure out what they do, how they do it [and] why they make the virus better at being a virus.” “Then we can use that information to make drugs,” including new antiviral therapies and vaccine formulations.

The Omicron variant and its rapid-fire subvariants, each coming just a couple months after the last, was a warning that our pharmaceutical research-and-development processes might be too slow. There’s another wrinkle. These accumulating mutations across the novel-coronavirus—on the spike and not on the spike—could start to mess with the polymerase chain-reaction tests we use to detect and track the virus.
PCR tests and sequencing use primers tailored for a certain range of viral characteristics. Too many mutations “can mess with the PCR test,” Niema Moshiri, a geneticist at the University of California-San Diego, told The Daily Beast.
Pay attention, but don’t panic. It’s really no surprise that SARS-CoV-2 is trying out mutations on different parts of the virus. That’s what viruses do—adapt.

Why we can't 'boost' our way out of the COVID-19 pandemic for the long term

Such a phenomenon has been widely reported with HIV infection and cancer. In those cases, because the T cells “see” the foreign molecules all the time, they can get worn down and fail to rid the body of the cancer or HIV.
Evidence also suggests that in severe cases of COVID-19, the killer T cells may be exhibiting immune exhaustion and therefore be unable to mount a strong immune response.
So, with all the above information in front of them, can they now finally figure out what should be done instead? No, because they are Western medics:
the next phase of vaccine development will need to focus on how to trigger a long-lived antibody response that would last for at least a year, making it likely that COVID-19 vaccines will become an annual shot.

Yes, this is my concern. It would be awfully pitiful for the nucleus of the True Left to be wiped out by a stupid virus (not even a bio-weapon designed to target us, but something that only still exists because Westerners are too **** stupid to stay inside for a month) before the True Left even accomplishes anything.
Yahweh will certainly be laughing if we are all wiped out, due to our own stubbornness, before we even have a chance to face him in a real battle. A soldier must have a sense of self-preservation in order to stay alive long enough to accomplish his mission (or at least long enough to sacrifice himself in a decisive moment), even if it means making certain compromises. Because in the end, accomplishing the mission is of the utmost importance.
Obviously, if we were in charge of things we would have followed China's example (as they managed to defeat the virus before vaccines were even invented!!). If Western nations had any competence at all, they would have just bit the bullet and decided to implement similar measures to just get this over with, but they don't care, and are never going to.
From a public health (i.e. state-level) perspective and an evolutionary perspective, using vaccines to fight a pandemic is utterly stupid. But, on an individual level, it is better than being at the mercy of the superspreaders for who knows how many more years.
Unless you live in the middle of the woods all alone, it is likely you will be exposed at some point. Even healthy athletes with no known genetic health conditions, etc., have died from this. Covid can also cause a "cytokine storm", where the immune system over-produces inflammatory molecules. A "cytokine storm" can be particularly dangerous to young healthy people with strong immune systems, since they can over-produce these molecules more than average people (in other words, simply having a healthy immune system isn't even a guarantee of fighting off the infection!)
I will not continue to expound on this, since I know how stubborn everyone is. But at the very least, redouble your efforts to remain isolated if you aren't going to get vaccinated. Maybe we'll get lucky and omicron will infect so many people we actually achieve "herd immunity" before a more dangerous strain evolves? ...We'll see in a few months.

All the reports from hospitals show that the vaccine drastically reduces people's symptoms, and that almost everyone who is dying these days is unvaccinated. So, it still protects you, even if you get infected. (It can reduce your symptoms to a mild cold, compared to having a plastic tube shoved directly into your lungs with the "full" virus.)
I have studied biology and can attempt to answer other questions anyone might have about this subject.

Regarding antibiotics, it is indeed a good idea to only take those in cases of severe illness, since antibiotics also wipe out most of the healthy bacteria in your digestive tract that aid digestion. (But antibiotics and vaccines work in entirely different manners.)

I once had strep throat and tonsillitis at the same exact time. I made it a week and a half without antibiotics. I did end up taking a full course of antibiotics though to get rid of it. I'm not too worried about Covid-19, doesn't sound anywhere near as bad as either of those combined. I'm also not around other people all that much so my exposure to any virus is pretty limited. I'm not worried about catching Covid-19 at all....

I just wanted to say I am feeling better after a few days of drinking cough syrup and some other non-Western medicine. To this day, I have never taken any prescription medication/antibiotics/antivirals (except for when I had a surgery). I do not see why I should do anything differently now, except to prevent death. Although given that the side effects also have a chance of killing me as well, and the fact virus has already mutated to evade the vaccine, I really don't see the point. What do you guys think?

The multi-billion-dollar patent war over the mRNA coronavirus vaccine has grabbed the attention of the likes of leaders from President Biden to Bill Gates. Its outcome could yet again change the course of the pandemic.
It's been well over a year since a landmark proposal brought the issue of patent waiver for the mRNA Covid vaccine to the spotlight. But many observers don't see that waiving the intellectual property (IP) rights on Covid vaccines is an effective way to put a stop to the pandemic.
Supporters of patent waivers like Harsha Thirumurthy, associate professor of medical ethics and health policy at the University of Pennsylvania, argue the issue lies at the heart of the reason why vaccines are less accessible in lower-income countries.
"It limits how much manufacturing there can be of that product or that vaccine," said Thirumurthy, adding it keeps the price "artificially high enough that it limits the ability of other countries in the world."
But critics counter that patent waivers will not automatically lead to an improvement in global vaccine distribution.
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates was among those who originally spoke out against the patent waiver, emphasizing that there are problems beyond patents that must be addressed first. Gates later reversed his stance and is now in full support of temporarily waiving the protections over coronavirus vaccine patents.
"Having a billion vaccines sitting in a warehouse of a lab that's developing will do no good getting us back to normal," said Heath Naquin, vice president of government and capital engagement at the University City Science Center, a nonprofit research organization, in Philadelphia.
"The patent waiver itself doesn't actually solve that core issues in many developing countries, which are not related to the recipe, they are related to the way you get that out the door to people."
However, experts on both sides of the debate seriously doubt whether a patent waiver on Covid-19 vaccines will ever come to be.
"I think we had the best hope of it last year when there was a proposal that was put forward at the WTO and the Biden administration had supported it," said Thirumurthy.

I do not plan on taking the vaccine either. I do not fear death either. If the pain becomes unbearable I'll just use a bullet to end it. If more people felt this way we wouldn't even need Western medicine really, which is just another indicator of how sick the West really is, spiritually, mentally, and physically. It also says a lot about the people who would like to live forever in the hell they are creating in my mind, definitely another symptom of their sickness!

I've had for a few weeks now symptoms of what Western medical diagnosis would label "Omicron". I had some flu-like symptoms first (chills, aches, fevers), and now I have a severe cough. I didn't get tested because Western medical diagnosis is of little use to me, and also because I've been infected with the flu before, 10 years ago, and I felt then exactly as I did now. I haven't been vaccinated against the flu, which was probably why I was infected with it, and it is probably why I've always been a sickly child. This shows the extent of how disease-ridden the West really is: disease is so pervasive in their society that Westerners require an annual vaccine to (temporarily) suppress it, only to require a vaccine the next year for a new strain.
I do not plan on getting vaccinated, as I do not fear death. I have experienced extreme illness in my life multiple times; when I was a pre-teen, I suffered from asthma which caused extreme pressure in my lungs and made me feel like I was literally going to die (non-Western doctors later identified the cause of asthma as being other vaccines which I had received as I child, as my non-Western body was rejecting the vaccine (designed for Westerners). The flu itself made me so sick 10 years ago to the point of having near death experiences. I have essentially experienced death and rebirth as a child, which has led to my discovering of Aryanism to find a solution to the disease-ridden West.
Moreover, the vaccine itself is not effective in preventing further mutations, so it is essentially useless, and there is also no guarantee that I will not receive side effects due to my body rejecting the substance. I find it futile to inject my body with foreign substances based on some Western probabilistic calculation that it will probably do more good than harm. If I die, I die; taking "preventative" action based on "scientific" evidence is not guaranteed to stop this anyway.

This means that the only way the pandemic will end is by democratic nations achieving herd immunity. (Even competent governments like China are not safe, because the virus can constantly be re-transmitted into their nation as long as a reservoir remains in dysfunctional Western nations!) Since individuals can catch Covid again within as little as 3 months, this means herd immunity will be impossible without wide-spread vaccination. Relying on a population of vaccinated people + people with "natural immunity" is not enough, since the "natural immunity" people will constantly be reinfected like a game of musical chairs as waves of the virus spread throughout each nation.
So, from a public health perspective, we are completely f*cked, and have to handle this on an individual level.
I would recommend that everyone here get the vaccine. Regarding the ethical considerations, sometimes we have to make compromises on our journey if we are ever to make it to the ultimate goal. If we are too inflexible, we risk being cut down before even coming close to accomplishing anything, thereby allowing evil to continue just because we were too stubborn to pick our minor battles.
Even if the vaccine cannot 100% prevent transmission of the virus, all evidence shows that it nearly eliminates the risk of death and hospitalization for individuals who are infected with "breakthrough" cases. As individuals, we are of no use to social justice activism if we die coughing up foamy saliva from a stupid virus. This is not the hill to die on.
If we manage to survive the pandemic, the reduction of exploitation that our actions will be able to achieve will drastically outweigh the potential unethicalness of partaking in a small vaccine that billions of people have already taken. (If it makes you feel any better, governments are over-producing the amount of vaccines, since they can't be stored forever, and you are not contributing to additional "demand" for the vaccine, since they are being over-produced whether you sign up to get one or not.)
Omicron is so insanely infectious that it does seem likely that nearly everyone will get exposed to it (even those of us who have managed to avoid contracting Covid thus far). The media is reporting it is less dangerous to the body than previous strains, but I think this is partially propaganda to keep the public from panicking. (The hospitals in the US and other nations are about ready to collapse, since the daily peak of infections for omicron in the US is like 4-5x greater than the delta wave where numerous hospitals throughout the nation were at 100% capacity and had to let people die from heart attacks, appendix ruptures, etc. because they simply had no doctors to treat non-Covid patients either!!!) Even if this strain is drastically less deadly than the previous ones, it still carries the risk of death or long-lasting symptoms for the unvaccinated.

How many times do we have to repeat this cycle before people get it? As long as transmissions keep happening (even if asymptomatically), the virus will keep evolving until it can get past the vaccine. So you have take a booster shot. And then the virus will keep evolving until it can get past that as well. So then you take another booster shot. And so on. As long as transmissions are allowed to keep happening, nothing is fundamentally improving. But when I try to explain this, people say: "Well, if it makes no sense, why is it so widely accepted?" The real answer is that this entire problem-solving approach will continue to be accepted in all domains so long as its philosophical foundations are not dismantled.

If we were in charge, however, we on medical grounds would not use vaccination (or other herd immunity) programs. This is because a vaccine exerts selective pressure on the virus (similar to how predators exert selective pressure on prey) thus leading to virus mutating into more complex forms that enable it to survive the antibodies generated by the vaccine in the long-term, which will later necessitate a new vaccine (similar to how prey exert selective pressure on predators) that generates more complex antibodies, which then does the same thing to the new virus in an endless cycle. This is the typical Western approach to all problems, which we ideologically reject.
The correct way to counter a virus (used since ancient times) is by strict lockdown to prevent the infected from infecting anyone else. Deprived of a supply of new hosts, the virus is automatically doomed, and we just have to wait it out. It is that simple.
The problem is, we aren't the only prey. For the virus to be genuinely "doomed", all its host species would need to perform strict lockdown (eradicating animal farming will definitely help). We'll always be in an arms race against zoonotic viruses until then. But I agree, vaccination only levels up the game. Strict lockdown and hygiene is a safer way of controlling viruses, it too generates selection pressure, but much slower since it's effectively neutering the virus so they have little chance to mutate. But unless we maintain a baseline biological immunity, every virus will be extremely contagious and destructive, undermining our methods. Ideal immunity would replicate lockdown/hygiene on a biological level, so rather than being "adaptive" and developing specific antibodies, it prevents the virus getting a foothold in the first place.
Have you looked into the child vs adult immune system? They function fundamentally differently and in many cases childrens' are more effective. Children have a weaker adaptive immune response and a stronger innate immune response.
Compared with adults, children recently infected with SARS-CoV-2 have also been found to have higher levels of activated neutrophils, cells that are on the front line in the response to unfamiliar invaders. Neutrophils ingest viral particles before they have a chance to replicate, says Melanie Neeland, an immunologist at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) in Melbourne, who led the work. Furthermore, they become less effective with age.

More transmission means more mutations
All viruses change over time as they replicate inside an infected host. So countless versions of the coronavirus are circulating, each separated by a handful of tiny changes in its genetic code. Many of these have no real public-health impact, but the more people a virus infects, the more chances it has to mutate into a new, dangerous variant.
"The biggest concern at the moment is just the sheer number of people that have the virus and therefore the sheer number of variants that are being generated," Andrew Read, who studies the evolution of infectious diseases at Pennsylvania State University, previously told Insider. "Some of those might be the jackpot which are even fitter than Delta."

The government has pledged to work closely with the private sector to speed up the Covid-19 vaccine rollout and achieve its target of providing 100 million Covid-19 vaccine shots to inoculate 50 million people by the end of the year.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha used a meeting with businessmen at Government House yesterday to stress that he and his ministers were committed to helping them acquire more vaccines.
"The prime minister was glad that the government will work with the private sector as they share a common aim of containing the outbreak of Covid-19 and restoring the economy to prepare for the reopening of the country," said government spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri.
The government has approved the private sector's proposal to set up four teams, comprising several companies, to help increase the rollout and buy more vaccines:
Team A will be responsible for distribution and logistics and will provide personnel and equipment support, plus additional vaccination areas arranged by private companies;
Team B (communication) will work to allay people's concern about the safety of vaccines and persuade them to be inoculated;
Team C (IT operation) will develop a vaccination registration system and provide technical support to the state's official "Mor Prom" Line account;
Team D (extra vaccine procurement) will work with state agencies and private hospitals to buy and offer alternative vaccines to private company staff.
Sanan Angubolkul, the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) chairman, said after the meeting that the prime minister had welcomed the proposal and stressed the TCC was ready to assist government moves to buy more vaccines and speed up their distribution.
Gen Prayut is now calling the shots in the Covid-19 campaign after the cabinet granted him temporary powers on Tuesday to enforce 31 laws relating to the handling of the pandemic.
Danucha Pichayanan, secretary-general of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC), said after yesterday's meeting that the prime minister had instructed the council and the National Security Council (NSC) to work with the Joint Public and Private Sector Consultative Committee (JPPSCC) to support the procurement of vaccine doses by state and private agencies.
It was agreed at the meeting that the two sectors would collaborate to distribute vaccine doses and vaccinate priority groups in Bangkok, while the JPPSCC would be responsible for distribution and vaccination in other provinces, Mr Danucha said.
The Public Health Ministry and the Interior Ministry will work with the Federation of Thai Industries, the Board of Trade of Thailand, the Thai Bankers Association and the Tourism Council of Thailand to procure vaccine doses and achieve broad vaccine distribution.
Mr Danucha said the private sector would coordinate with the NSC and other concerned agencies to roll out a PR campaign and build public confidence in the vaccines.
The Public Health Ministry will be responsible for handling the registration of five priority groups: medical and healthcare staff, front-line officials such as immigration officers and soldiers, people with underlying health issues, people aged 60 and above, and those living in the worst-hit areas.
The Food and Drug Administration and Government Pharmaceutical Organisation have also been instructed to consider easing regulations to allow the private sector to procure vaccine doses, Mr Danucha said.

The coronavirus variant discovered in South Africa can "break through" Pfizer/BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine to some extent, a real-world data study in Israel found, though its prevalence in the country is low and the research has not been peer reviewed.
The study, released on Saturday, compared almost 400 people who had tested positive for COVID-19, 14 days or more after they received one or two doses of the vaccine, against the same number of unvaccinated patients with the disease. It matched age and gender, among other characteristics.
The South African variant, B.1.351, was found to make up about 1% of all the COVID-19 cases across all the people studied, according to the study by Tel Aviv University and Israel's largest healthcare provider, Clalit.
But among patients who had received two doses of the vaccine, the variant's prevalence rate was eight times higher than those unvaccinated - 5.4% versus 0.7%.
This suggests the vaccine is less effective against the South African variant, compared with the original coronavirus and a variant first identified in Britain that has come to comprise nearly all COVID-19 cases in Israel, the researchers said.
"We found a disproportionately higher rate of the South African variant among people vaccinated with a second dose, compared to the unvaccinated group. This means that the South African variant is able, to some extent, to break through the vaccine's protection," said Tel Aviv University's Adi Stern.

We are firstly against vaccines whose development involved experimination on animals (who did not consent either). If a vaccine did not involve experimentation on animals, under current circumstances (ie. us not being in charge) we are on ethical grounds willing to leave it up to each individual to decide whether or not to use it.
If we were in charge, however, we on medical grounds would not use vaccination (or other herd immunity) programs. This is because a vaccine exerts selective pressure on the virus (similar to how predators exert selective pressure on prey) thus leading to virus mutating into more complex forms that enable it to survive the antibodies generated by the vaccine in the long-term, which will later necessitate a new vaccine (similar to how prey exert selective pressure on predators) that generates more complex antibodies, which then does the same thing to the new virus in an endless cycle. This is the typical Western approach to all problems, which we ideologically reject.
The correct way to counter a virus (used since ancient times) is by strict lockdown to prevent the infected from infecting anyone else. Deprived of a supply of new hosts, the virus is automatically doomed, and we just have to wait it out. It is that simple.

I served in the U.S. military and received many vaccines. I could not serve with out them. That probably doesn't answer your question all that well though....
