While in general I still support the current Iranian regime, I canít help but feel that they deserve these protests in a way. Women in Iran should be allowed to not wear a hijab without fear of the mistreatment, cruelty or harassment that Iíve both read about and seen lately, because that choice is ultimately a non-violent one. I think that Iran is partially responsible for ruining its own image in the same way that the Eurocentric clown Xi Jinping doesnít do China any favors either. While both of those countries have dealt with intense western smear campaigns, I think that Iran would be in a better position in terms of PR if the regime had made an attempt to stamp out some of the attitudes and behaviors that sparked this protest in the first place
