Tamika Mallory returns!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkGC1jdEtKc

Just two things:

1) You should say "Western civilization" instead of "America".

2) You and everyone around you should carry firearms.

Excellent otherwise.

BLM finally understands the need for firearms:

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8384065/Black-Lives-Matter-leader-declares-war-police.html

Quote
HawkNewsome, Chairman of BLM's Greater New York chapter, says the black rights group is 'mobilizing' its base and aims to develop a highly-trained 'military' arm to challenge police brutality head on.
...
'It's our obligation, it is our duty to provide people with a pathway forward,' he said.

Wewant liberation. We want the power to determine our own destiny. We want freedom from an oppressive government, and we want the immediate end of government sanctioned murder by the police.

'And we prepare to stop these government sanctioned murders by any means necessary.

'We are preparing and training our people to defend our communities.'
...
He says the police have waged war on black people for decades but his chapter is 'escalating' the battle.

'We'retalking about self-defense. We're talking about defending our communities,' he explains. 'You know what it's like to see a taser pointed at a seven-year-old, you know what it's like to see a 67-year-old black woman... pepper sprayed and pushed to the ground?'

Newsome, wearing a black 'I Can't Breathe' T-shirt with beads and an Ethiopian religious cross pendant around his neck, said his group has military advisors on board to get the job done.
...
In a move reminiscent of the strategy adopted by the controversial Black Panther Party in the 1960s, Newsome said BLM will create 'Peace Officers' who will patrol black communities to challenge law enforcement and stop police brutality.

Asked if the 'Peace Officers' would be armed and open carry their guns in the states that allow it, he said: 'Yes, absolutely.'

Foundedin 1966 the Black Panther Party's core practice was its open carry armed citizens' patrols - known as cop watching - to monitor the behavior of officers of the Oakland Police Department and challenge police brutality in the city.
...
The BLM chapter chairman doesn't hide from the fact that his group's blueprint replicates some of the ideologies of the BPP.

'Wepattern ourselves after the Black Panthers, after the Nation of Islam, we believe that we need an arm to defend ourselves,' he says.

'Wewill build and train peace officers to keep the peace in our communities, to defend our communities, to keep our communities safe.

'Idon't see us working with police. I see us policing ourselves. I see usteaching black people how to police their own communities.'

Newsome says his chapter is now raising a 'war chest' and plans to build a headquarters in an unused church in New York.
...
'Wewant to teach knowledge to our people, teach them their history, which American textbooks omit; we want to teach them about the law,' he explained.

'We'll bring in kids and teach them and train them the way that the Black Panthers used to do.'

Newsomesays the organization also aims to feed the poor, put its people in positions of power to make a change for the better and push for new legislation in government.

But as rioting continues across the nation, Newsome refused to call for an end to the violence and looting.

Instead he believes the world needs to be more 'empathetic' towards the rioters.

'You're talking about people who have been told time and time again that their black lives don't matter,' he said.

'You're talking about a people who witnessed their peers and their family members incarcerated at unfair rates.

'You'relooking at people who are miseducated and then to add insult to injury, the government allows police to come in and kill us and allow police officers to continuously get away with killing us. Any person would be outraged.'
...
He added: 'Black Lives Matter didn't create thisviolence. Black Lives Matter is a product of this violence. The riotersare the product of the violence.'

There is something about this guy that I like:

www.weeklytimesnow.com.au/warlord-of-seattles-lawless-zone-hands-out-guns-from-his-tesla/news-story/7b749d67f83231efa16946233d8a116b

Quote
RazSimone, 30, is believed to have assumed the role of leader in the rebelstate after he was seen urging licensed gun owners to guard the area and allegedly assaulted a protester for disobeying his orders, City-Journal reported.

Before the zone was established last week he called for the long-term occupation of the area, tweeting: “Come out now and hold it down.”

“We’ll be here as long as it takes so bring a tent and a blanket,” he wrote.

Now footage from the rapper’s live stream, which has been viewed almost 500,000 times on social media, shows Mr Simone handing out guns to strangers from the boot of his Tesla.

He needs to have a way to make sure there are no rightists infiltrated among them, however, or else he could be giving away weapons to those who will eventually use them on us.

Now that we are gradually getting leftists armed, we need to next start thinking about how to disarm rightists.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8468059/Black-Lives-Matters-UK-twitter-account-sparks-outrage-Free-Palestine-message.html

Let’s break down the Jewish responses from the above linked article one by one:

Quote
She told the Jewish News: ‘It is beyond disappointing that a supposedly anti-racist organisation has leaned into the antisemitic trope that British politics is “gagged” in terms of debating Israel, a claim particularly preposterous because Israel is one of the most-discussed foreign policy issues in this country.’

Firstly, what is a trope? Basically, it is something that someone else has said before. Ordinarily, we would call it a corroboration(!). But whereas the word “corroboration” suggests multiple independent sources arriving at the same conclusion makes the accusation more credible, the word “trope” suggests that the sources are not independent but merely one fashionably repeating another’s conclusion, thereby implying it makes the accusation less credible. The notion of an “antisemitic trope” is their attempt to convince us that the more accusers, the less we should be believe the accusation….. if the accused is Jewish.

As for discussion of Israel, whether the existence of Israel is itself unjustified (the Palestinian position) is never discussed. All discussion of Israel presumes its legitimacy.

Quote
‘Zionism is the movement for the self-determination of Jews. The right to self-determination of peoples is universal and enshrined in Article 1 of the UN Charter.

This is like saying “All Lives Matter”.

Quote
‘So called anti-Zionism exclusively denies Jews that right and is therefore antisemitic.’

This is like saying “White Lives Matter”.

Quote
‘BLM should aspire to be a movement against racism that unifies people and achieves lasting change, not a movement that spreads hatred and achieves lasting division

These are the same thing. A movement against racism spreads hatred against racists. A movement that unifies people and achieves lasting change achieves lasting ideological division from those who oppose unification (e.g. Jews, who themselves invented and continue to perpetuate the Jew/non-Jew distinction).

Quote
The statement added: ‘You cannot fight prejudice with prejudice.’

To treat groups (e.g. “blacks”) which were involuntarily labelled by others as if the label is valid is prejudice. To treat groups (e.g. Jews, “whites”) which voluntarily labelled themselves as if the label is valid is not prejudice.

Quote
“Gagged”? Gagged by whom? The insinuation is depressingly clear.

OK, let’s first repeal all laws against questioning ‘Holocaust’ claims.

Our enemies report:

https://www.newstarget.com/2020-07-06-armed-black-extremists-vow-to-take-texas-blm-protesters-death-to-israel.html

Quote
Black militants are now anti-White, anti-Jew, anti-Israel
...
Black Lives Matter as an organization has veered strongly anti-Israel, anti-Jew and anti-Semitic in the last week or so, with BLM protesters now chanting for “death to Israel
...
“From Gaza to Minnesota, globalize the Intifada!”
...
Dequi Kioni Sadiki, the wife of former Black Panther Sekou Odinga, said: “The European Jews who occupy, slaughter and continue to force millions of Palestinians onto their killing fields called refugee and concentration camps, are the relatives of the Europeans… who kidnapped, slaughtered and forced millions of Africans and indigenous” into slavery.

Calls to “abolish the police” were joined with calls to eliminate “the Zionistic state of Israel.”

https://www.breitbart.com/middle-east/2020/07/06/pro-palestinian-blm-rallies-in-u-s-call-for-death-to-israel-and-to-america/

Quote
Speakers and organizers made it clear they were not interested in Israel arriving at a peace agreement with the Palestinians. Instead, they said the Palestinians deserve the entire land.

“The land that Israel exists on is still stolen. The 1948 lands are still stolen — Jaffa, Haifa, Tel Aviv… was stolen. We don’t want to go just back to our homes in Gaza and the West Bank. We Want all of it,” activist Nerdeen Kiswani, one of the organizers, said.

“We don’t want a fake Palestinian state that they give us while Israel still exists,” Kiswani added.

Chants of “**** your two states!” were later heard.
...
One of the march’s organizers, Harvard student Christian Tabash, read a poem about Israel’s alleged crimes against Palestinian Muslims according to the Washington Examiner. The poem, called Mr. War — an apparent reference to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — included the line “Curse thee, the corrupters of Zion. **** this occupation!” and referred to Israel as “puppet master of continents,” paying homage to the anti-Semitic trope that Jews control the world.

Tabash also paused several times during the march to remind protesters that the Palestinian movement is “intrinsically tied to Black Lives Matter,” the report said.

The Republican Jewish Coalition published a statement responding to the march saying it was “horrified by this vicious hatemongering by Black Lives Matter protesters.”

I will take applause now.

One other thing our enemies are correct about, however (from first link):

Quote
They’ve also issued a direct challenge to “White militias” and seem to be itching for a confrontation. Somebody should probably tell them at some point that White militias don’t stand around in the road like idiots, waiting to be shot. They hit you with the element of surprise and defeat you before you even know what happened:

I have been warning about this already:

https://trueleft.createaforum.com/true-left-vs-false-left/firearms/

Now that BLM is ideologically all set up (at last!), it needs to start worrying a lot more about operational effectiveness.

Not only is BLM now firmly anti-Zionist (much to Jewish chagrin):

https://forward.com/opinion/450089/anti-israel-demonstrations-are-ruining-black-lives-matter/

Quote
The slippage from Black Lives Matter to anti-Zionism was not unique to the Day of Rage; a Juneteenth rally promoted by Linda Sarsour’s organization was “open to all, minus cops & Zionists,” linking the two as morally odious categories worthy of exclusion (this is how slurs get created in real time). Again and again we have seen the logic of the most extreme forms of Palestinian rhetoric weaving themselves into the language of civil rights protests with alarming seamlessness.

This phenomenon was on steroids in New York’s Day of Rage. “When I saw that precinct burn, I thought we were closer to Palestine,” a protest leader chanted in Bay Ridge yesterday. “When I see an NYPD cop car burn, I say we are waking up revolutionary consciousness.”

“The police that are around us are an impediment to the liberation of Palestine!” Chanted another protestor.

These quotes see violence against police in the U.S. as linked to violence against Israeli soldiers
...
“We don’t wanna just go back to our homes in Gaza and the West Bank. We want all of it!” a woman chanted. “Genocide since 1948! We don’t want your two states!

The protestors demanded an end to Israel, not a negotiated solution. They view Palestinian liberation as demanding the liquidation of the Israeli State. And they see compromise as the unlovely handmaiden to full scale conflict and ethnic cleansing. The ideals they chant live in the barrel of a gun.

it is furthermore incorporating anti-ICE/CBP into the movement:

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/07/08/far-lefts-breathe-act-calls-on-states-to-expand-voting-to-undocumented-people/

Quote
The far left, led by Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), is championing a reform measure dubbed the “BREATHE Act,” which contains a slew of radical proposals, including the call to incentivize states to pass laws that expand voting access, allowing “local and State resident voting for undocumented people.”

The proposal, drafted in partnership with the Movement for Black Lives, aims to overhaul the U.S. criminal justice system, providing a range of radical changes — from defunding the police and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to establishing a commission tasked with designing reparations for victims of “mass criminalization.”
...
Notably, the radial proposal also calls for the removal of federal laws that criminalize illegal border entry, as well as thefull dismantlement of ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

“We can start to envision through this bill a new version for public safety — a new vision for public safety, one that protects and affirms black lives,” Tlaib said on Tuesday.

Thank you Tlaib!

And it gets better still, as BLM is taking on advocacy for EU-bound refugees:

https://theconversation.com/black-lives-are-being-lost-in-the-mediterranean-but-the-world-remains-silent-141822

Quote
A black baby was born on a boat on the Mediterranean Sea in late June. Its mother was trying to escape from Libya, together with 92 men and women. Help was on the way, with the Italian rescue vessel Mare Jonio nearing the boat in distress, ready to rescue them to a place of safety in Europe.

But Libyan forces were quicker, intercepting the boat on Europe’s behalf and returning the migrants to the Libyan war zone against their will. Upon disembarkation, survivors spoke of six people who lost their lives during the odyssey.

Official statistics record 377 deaths so far in 2020 but these are rough estimates, and the true figure is certainly considerably higher. Even in known shipwrecks, of which there were three in the central Mediterranean just in June, numbers of deaths are often unclear. And as there are few official investigations into these shipwrecks, the number who die often remains unclear, leaving families and friends of the disappeared in endless cycles of hope and despair.

Despite the absence of data on the ethnicity of those who lose their lives at sea, statistics on migrant crossings register that the vast majority of people originate from Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa or South Asia.

When black lives don’t matter at sea

During a period when Black Lives Matter protests are reverberating around the world following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, the silence around black lives lost at sea is astounding.

If the video footage of Floyd’s killing was not enough to reveal his cause of death, the independent medical examination confirmed death by homicide: “Cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression.”

The process of drowning is also cruel. In medical terms, someone who drowns becomes hypercarbic, hypoxemic and acidotic. They experience circulatory arrest, multiple organ dysfunction and, in the absence of rapid intervention and resuscitation, death.

Actions taken by border guards at sea may be less visible than a police officer kneeling on a person’s neck – and are rarely caught on camera – but they are no less violent.

Over the past few months, European authorities have left hundreds of people consciously in distress and adrift at sea, merely watching them from the sky. Some have attacked vulnerable people and sabotaged their boats while wearing paramilitary-style masks. Others have threatened people at sea at gunpoint, preventing them from landing, or left migrants in need offshore in the cattle cages of a livestock cargo ship.

European politicians such as the EU’s foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell expressed shock about the “abuse of power” by the police in the US in the wake of Floyd’s killing. But they have remained silent on Malta’s acts of non-assistance and push-backs that cost at least 12 lives in April. They have also stayed silent on Malta’s mass incarceration of 425 vulnerable people in floating detention centres off Europe’s coast. And few politicians have spoken up against reports of systematic attacks by Greek coastguards on migrant boats in the Aegean.

Silence and impunity

Deaths in the Mediterranean are the result of racist ways in which the rich countries of the north govern and police human movement, particularly those emerging from countries with ongoing conflict or severe poverty. The philosopher Étienne Balibar once referred to these structural conditions of segregation as producing “global apartheid”.

It’s estimated that more than 19,000 lives have been lost in the Mediterranean since 2014. Relatives of the dead and disappeared, as well as activist supporters, are desperately trying to raise awareness about this mass dying. They struggle, however, to be heard.

It is particularly revealing that, even in a moment of global attention on issues of racial inequality, certain lives – those who fall between global frontiers – are erased from public consciousness. Such erasure is the result of a deep-seated Western-centric imagination of what lives count or are deemed worthy to grieve over when lost.

Some social movements are beginning to make connections between systems of violence and segregation within nation states and those global ones that segregate between populations worldwide. In the US, calls to defund or even abolish the police are slowly connecting to issues around migration control, including calls to defund and abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In Europe, similar calls, for example to defund and abolish the European border agency Frontex are rarely heard. Carola Rackete, captain of one of the ships run by the NGO Sea-Watch, says it’s difficult to make the case to abolish Frontex when “the majority of EU citizens don’t know that agency even exists, less so what they do”.

Such awareness, however, is desperately needed. The expiration of black and brown lives at sea must be connected to Europe’s border practices and policies, in the same way that Floyd’s death is being connected to racist policing in the US. In order to do so, however, we would first have to acknowledge that black and brown lives also matter at sea.

So now we have almost all of the short-term causes we support included under the BLM banner! This is fantastic! This is the power of entryism.

This is also why our enemies (masquerading as our allies) were trying to dissuade us from supporting BLM. Fortunately we did not listen to them.

NYC Begins Painting Black Lives Matter Mural In Front Of Trump Tower
Quote
A mural with the words "Black Lives Matter" will soon emblazon Manhattan's Fifth Avenue, right in front of one specific landmark: Trump Tower.

On Thursday morning, work crews blocked off traffic between 56th and 57th streets. Groups of painters then used rollers to start filling in large yellow letters on the pavement.

President Trump derided the mural plan last week, saying it would be "denigrating this luxury Avenue" and antagonize the city's police as "a symbol of hate."

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio responded: "Black people BUILT 5th Ave and so much of this nation. Your 'luxury' came from THEIR labor, for which they have never been justly compensated. We are honoring them. The fact that you see it as denigrating your street is the definition of racism."

BLM is evolving exactly as I want it to:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/policing/2020/07/10/does-black-lives-matter-apply-immigrants-well/5414676002/

Quote
Does Black Lives Matter apply to immigrants as well?
...
As a Black man in America, I’m encouraged that more Americans seem eager to affirm my dignity. But a series of recent immigration policy changes belie the statement that Black Lives Matter, as African individuals have been systematically excluded from entry to the U.S.
...
As recently as fiscal year 2016, more than 31,000 African refugees were resettled. But the refugee resettlement program has been decimated in recent years. Halfway through fiscal year 2020, only about 3,000 African refugees have been resettled. If resettlement continues at that pace, 90% fewer African refugees will find safety and freedom in the U.S. this year than in 2016. Meanwhile, the share of resettled refugees who come from Europe has risen from about 5% in fiscal year 2016 to about 25% this fiscal year.

Africans fleeing persecution can still seek asylum in the U.S. But asylum is only an option if they can reach the U.S., which is logistically challenging unless they are first granted a temporary visa either to the U.S. or another country in the Western Hemisphere. Because few Africans are granted the temporary visa needed to board an airplane, Africans make up only a small share of asylum seekers in the U.S.

Most African asylum seekers who do make it to an asylum hearing in front of an immigration judge ultimately win their asylum cases, meaning they have demonstrated that they reasonably fear persecution if returned to their country of origin. But that too is likely to change, if new regulations proposed by the Trump administration last month are finalized. These regulations would radically redefine eligibility for asylum, including restricting asylum access for people who transit through more than one country to reach the U.S. Since there are few nonstop flights from the African continent to the U.S., African migrants are likely to be largely barred, despite otherwise meeting the requirements of U.S. law.

The most recent change occurred just two weeks ago: President Donald Trump issued a proclamation that extends until at least the end of the year a ban first announced in April halting most immigrant visas issued abroad, including diversity visas. Roughly 40% of the 55,000 diversity visas available each year between fiscal years 1995 and 2016, have gone to individuals from African countries who meet strict eligibility requirements. In fact, as of 2017, sub-Saharan African immigrants were three times more likely than those from other regions to have come on a diversity visa. The law requires these visas to be issued within a given fiscal year, but fewer than one-quarter had been issued when the April ban, which was originally for 60 days, went into effect. The ban now stretches past the end of the fiscal year. Between 10,000 and 20,000 qualifying Africans who have already been told they won the lottery are now out of luck.

The proclamation also extends a ban on most family reunification visas, blocking (with exceptions) the primary process by which Black immigrants have migrated to the U.S. in recent years. Spouses and minor children of U.S. citizens are still allowed, but not those of lawful permanent residents. Adult children are banned — even those whose U.S. citizen parents filed petitions (and paid hefty fees) as long as 12 years ago.

These new restrictions have been implemented under the pretext of COVID-19, but additional restrictions on immigrant visas were already placed on Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria, in mid-February. Eritrea, Sudan and Tanzania also were subjected to new, unduly burdensome restrictions.

These and other policy changes have already resulted in a sharp reduction to the number of Black people allowed to immigrate to the U.S. It’s hard not to wonder if the disparate racial impact is intentional. The president himself has reportedly referred to African nations and Haiti as “shithole countries,” expressed his preference for Norwegian immigrants, and imagines that Nigerians live in “huts.” It’s implausible that these views don’t have an impact on how he crafts our nation’s exclusionary immigration policies.

Like most Black Americans, I have experienced racism in the United States. Most recently, when I moved to Richland, Washington to take a new job, multiple landlords refused to rent to me — despite good credit and adequate income. I’m thankful for the Latino property manager who finally was willing to rent me a place to live.

But I have also experienced the best of this country. From the volunteers at the mostly-white church in Spokane who welcomed me to America eight years ago, to the many who have responded to my story by advocating for refugees, I’ve come to know first-hand that Americans are capable of resisting racism and pursuing justice for immigrants. Some truly do live by the motto that "Black lives matter."

In my role at World Relief, I now help to continue these anti-racist efforts by partnering with local churches, volunteers and employers to welcome other immigrants and help them rebuild their lives in Eastern Washington.

As a nation, America must reckon with the systemic racism that is infecting our immigration system. I hope and pray that we will not just proclaim that Black Lives Matter, but insist upon public policies that demonstrate we really believe it, too.

Al-Qaeda is officially on board:

https://policyoptions.irpp.org/magazines/july-2020/al-qaeda-is-suddenly-framing-itself-as-a-black-lives-matter-champion/

Quote
Shortly after George Floyd’s killing by a police officer in Minneapolis, the insurgent group al-Qaeda released a new 83-page issue of its magazine One Ummah (“one nation under God”) in an effort to rebrand itself as a “champion of the oppressed.” This is a phrase that Islamic revolutionaries often use to gain followers.
...
One of the One Ummah contributors, who seems very informed about US domestic politics, focuses on Black Lives Matter. He desperately tries to rebrand his affiliated organization and find its relevance in the world — a relevance that has declined since the killing of Osama Bin Laden in 2011 and the rise of al-Qaeda’s rival ISIL in 2013.
...
Policy-makers must seize the opportunity to implement reform and inclusive policies. The Black Lives Matter movement is having cascading effects across the globe. This colossal moment in history has been able to take the world forward in ways that years of playing by the rules has not been able to accomplish, uniting people on all parts of the political and social spectrum. I stand in solidarity with those who are fighting against the racial injustice and systemic racism that we have seen in the United States and Canada, and I stand with the Black community as a whole to demand justice for the systemic profiling, harassment, assault and killing of Black people and communities — because demanding justice is and always has been the right thing to do.

Remember, al-Qaeda used to be an American ally:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Qaeda#Jihad_in_Afghanistan

Quote
The origins of al-Qaeda can be traced to the Soviet War in Afghanistan (December 1979 – February 1989).[6] The United States viewed the conflict in Afghanistan in terms of the Cold War, with Marxists on one side and the native Afghan mujahideen on the other. This view led to a CIA program called Operation Cyclone, which channeled funds through Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency to the Afghan Mujahideen.[131] The US government provided substantial financial support to the Afghan Islamic militants. Aid to Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, an Afghan mujahideen leader and founder of the Hezb-e Islami, amounted to more than $600 million.

Perhaps now is the time to reforge this alliance (and in the process bring attention afresh to the truth that 9/11 was a Zionist false flag)?

“Al Qaeda” is merely a list of ex-mercenaries used by intelligence agencies to do their dirty work. I would warn against praising them, for it suggests they are an actual organization rather than an intelligence creation.

The mujahideen, however (which bin laden was a part of) is definitely a praiseworthy group (including its successor the Taliban), as it is very religious and anti-Zionist.

Our enemies really don't like BLM now:

https://barenakedislam.com/2020/07/18/red-green-axis-of-evil-blm-antifa-serving-as-useful-idiots-for-islamic-extremists-are-demanding-the-defunding-of-israeli-defense-forces/

Jews are panicking:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egJXGlsrDg8

and trying to divide us by bringing up the Arab slave trade. Sure, but the Arab slave trade traded slaves of all ethnicities. The Western colonialist slave trade, on the other hand, exempted "whites" (even POWs) from being traded as slaves. This is what makes the latter more despicable: it was a statement that enslaving "whites" was abhorrent but enslaving "non-whites" was fine (a.k.a. "it's OK to be white").

(And just ignore Farrakhan. Of course they are Jews.)

California congresswoman Maxine Waters went to assist a black man who was pulled over by police in Los Angeles this weekend.

In a video shared online, Ms Waters parked her SUV and said she intervened to see what Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers were doing when they pulled a black man over.

The black Democrat told the person videoing that “they stopped a brother so I stopped to see what they [the LAPD] were doing”.

She added that police had threatened her with a ticket, and said: “They say I’m in the wrong place”

“They’re going to give me a ticket, but that’s okay, as long as I watch them,” added the congresswoman.

This is a good initiative, but what if the police start violating the victim while you watch? Will you just record it on your phone and report them later? By then the victim might be dead! The only correct way to watch is with a firearm drawn and ready to shoot.

Vets joined the ‘Wall of Moms’ and ‘Wall of Dads’ to help protect protestors

As protests continue in Portland, more and more groups are showing up to take a stand against the federal agents using force, tear gas, and assaulting protestors. Last night, veterans made their voices known, standing with the protestors to back up other groups who’ve recently joined forces.

As a part of President Trump’s executive order allowing federal officers to patrol cities in the wake of protesting, Portland has been consumed with unrest and violent government overreach. On Friday, thousands showed up again to fight against police brutality and systemic racism, and the vets made it clear they weren’t going anywhere.

The vets showed up in support of Navy veteran Chris David, who was videoed being beaten and pepper-sprayed by federal police earlier in the week. “It’s something I believe in. The other vets here — this is the first time they’ve come down; they don’t like crowds either; we believe in something; it’s time to stand,” Jonathan Fisher, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, told KATU2.

At least he admits the Tanakh is a Jewish book. Most “black” Christian preachers quote from the NT anyway. Once they see the OT is opposed to the NT, they will become anti-Judaism.

We must attack our enemies from every angle available:

George Floyd’s casual murder by police has made it clearer than ever: We must end police violence and white supremacy. Black-led uprisings have brought millions into the streets, and even those previously silent on these issues are starting to speak up. Recently, Abigail Johnson, the CEO of Fidelity Investments, wrote a LinkedIn post stating that she is “heartbroken and angry that racial discrimination and inequality continue to plague our society.”

And yet, behind the scenes, the Fidelity Charitable branch of her corporation lets money from its Donor-Advised Funds flow to organizations that espouse racist idea and practices.

As representatives of the Muslim Justice League, Asian American Resource Workshop, Community Labor United, and the Boston-based Public Good Coalition, we fight outsized corporate influence in Massachusetts and aim to put working families and communities of color at the center of public decision-making. Last year, we asked Ms. Johnson to ensure that Fidelity Charitable stop allowing millions of dollars to be donated to anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, anti-LGBTQ+, and other organized bigotry groups. So far, she has refused.

The groups receiving money from Fidelity Charitable DAFs include the American Freedom Law Center, an anti-Muslim litigation hub whose co-founder, David Yerushalmi, has stated, “I don’t have a problem saying that Western cultural and civilization is simply supreme.” That organization received a total of $1,301,300 in Fidelity Charitable DAF money in fiscal years 2016 and 2017.

During this period, Fidelity Charitable facilitated another $87,350 to the New Century Foundation, which promotes pseudo-scientific research that attempts to “prove” white racial supremacy. Its founder, Jared Taylor, has said, “Blacks and whites are different. When blacks are left entirely to their own devices, Western civilization — any kind of civilization — disappears.” The New Century Foundation has also dismissed the systemic racism that permeates law enforcement and erroneously claims in one report, “if there is police racial bias in arrests it is negligible”.

The Public Accountability Initiative and Little Sis recently exposed how police foundations in cities across the nation “can purchase equipment and weapons with little public input or oversight,” raising questions about accountability at a time when police budgets are already hotly contested. During fiscal years 2016 and 2017, Fidelity Charitable enabled at least $45,400 in DAF money to flow to the Boston Police Foundation, an entity whose purpose is to provide private funding to augment the $400 million-plus Boston Police Department budget to “fund special equipment, advanced training, new technology” and other programs.

Even more troublingly, the Boston Police Foundation bought license plate readers and other technology to support the Boston Police’s Real-Time Crime Center, which is part of the Boston Regional Intelligence Center (BRIC). The BRIC was at the center of a recent ACLU lawsuit against the Boston Police Department because of concerns its “gang database” has inaccurately targeted young people of color and has been unfairly used against at least one immigrant in deportation proceedings.

BRIC has also hired the private social media surveillance outfit Geofeedia, ultimately collecting “thousands of social media posts” from Boston residents “about political and social activism, current events, religious issues, and personal matters totally irrelevant to law enforcement concerns.”

BRIC’s use of Geofeedia included scanning for posts by students protesting public school cuts, posts advancing the #BlackLivesMatter movement, and posts including everyday Arabic words or the hashtag #MuslimLivesMatter. Such surveillance techniques are “likely to treat people as inherently suspicious based on their race, religion, or ethnicity, or because they are politically active, without advancing public safety or criminal investigations.”

Despite Fidelity Charitable’s claim that its donors help “make the world a better place,” Abigail Johnson allows donations to be funneled to organizations that uphold racist ideas and practices. Such leniency speaks volumes to Fidelity’s true motivations: profit over people. Recent demonstrations and polling have shown Massachusetts residents are deeply concerned about systemic racism and racist policing. If Abigail Johnson truly shares those concerns, the least she can do is demonstrate it by leading change within her own organization.

Fidelity Charitable should not allow money from its Donor-Advised Funds to be funneled to organized bigotry groups. We urge Fidelity Charitable to implement a screening mechanism similar to that adopted by Amalgamated Foundation and 83 other organizations, which forbids “any support of organizations engaged in ‘hateful activities.” This is the only real option if Abigail Johnson and Fidelity are truly committed to “making the world a better place” instead of allowing themselves to be used by agents of white supremacy.
