Powell covered up the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War and his lies to the UN were one of the major lies used to start the Iraq War. Good riddance, but it's a shame he lived as long as he did.

Quote
Initial reports claimed "128 Viet Cong and 22 civilians" had been killed in the village during a "fierce fire fight". Westmoreland congratulated the unit on the "outstanding job". As relayed at the time by Stars and Stripes magazine, "U.S. infantrymen had killed 128 Communists in a bloody day-long battle."[74]
[...]
Six months later, Tom Glen, a 21-year-old soldier of the 11th Light Infantry Brigade, wrote a letter to General Creighton Abrams, the new MACV commander.[78] He described an ongoing and routine brutality against Vietnamese civilians on the part of American forces in Vietnam that he had personally witnessed, and then concluded,

It would indeed be terrible to find it necessary to believe that an American soldier that harbors such racial intolerance and disregard for justice and human feeling is a prototype of all American national character; yet the frequency of such soldiers lends credulity to such beliefs. ... What has been outlined here I have seen not only in my own unit, but also in others we have worked with, and I fear it is universal. If this is indeed the case, it is a problem which cannot be overlooked, but can through a more firm implementation of the codes of MACV (Military Assistance Command Vietnam) and the Geneva Conventions, perhaps be eradicated.[79]

Colin Powell, then a 31-year-old Army major serving as an assistant chief of staff of operations for the Americal Division, was charged with investigating the letter, which did not specifically refer to Mỹ Lai, as Glen had limited knowledge of the events there. In his report, Powell wrote, "In direct refutation of this portrayal is the fact that relations between Americal Division soldiers and the Vietnamese people are excellent." A 2018 US Army case study of the massacre noted that Powell "investigated the allegations described in the [Glen] letter. He proved unable to uncover either wide-spread unnecessary killings, war crimes, or any facts related to My Lai ..."[80] Powell's handling of the assignment was later characterized by some observers as "whitewashing" the atrocities of Mỹ Lai.[79]

In May 2004, Powell, then United States Secretary of State, told CNN's Larry King, "I mean, I was in a unit that was responsible for Mỹ Lai. I got there after Mỹ Lai happened. So, in war, these sorts of horrible things happen every now and again, but they are still to be deplored."[81]

Quote
On that February 5 in front of the U.N. Security Council, was Colin Powell certain what he was saying was accurate? He certainly was:

POWELL: My colleagues, every statement I make today is backed up by sources, solid sources. These are not assertions. What we’re giving you are facts and conclusions based on solid intelligence.

Later, regarding whether Iraq had reconstituted a nuclear weapons program, he said:

POWELL: There is no doubt in my mind …

That’s in public. What about in private? According to Larry Wilkerson, Powell’s chief of staff, here’s what Powell was thinking at the time:

WILKERSON: [Powell] had walked into my office musing and he said words to the effect of, ‘I wonder how we’ll all feel if we put half a million troops in Iraq and march from one end of the country to the other and find nothing.

Covid’s Evolution: ‘With Each Passing Wave, We’ve Seen Greater Transmissibility’

The Omicron variant is spreading rapidly across the United States, with New York City experiencing more daily new cases than any previous point in the pandemic. “We’re getting up to numbers, in terms of transmissibility, that could be reaching measles,” says Dr. Peter Hotez, author of “Preventing the Next Pandemic.” “And measles is the most highly transmissible virus we know about.”

Fauci has officially joined Republicans in saying "you will die for the economy so businesses can obtain marginally more profit"...

You know, if we had taken the pandemic seriously and nearly a million Americans hadn't died from Covid, maybe there wouldn't be such an economic disruption for 2 years and counting.

50 second clip of him telling you it's ok for you to go out in society and spread Covid:
https://old.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/rrhf4s/straight_from_fauci_himself_the_cdc_is/

(People have also pointed out that his comments demonstrate prolonged mass strikes or siege for 5-10 days would be enough to destroy the US. If the US economy is hurting enough with only a few high profile strikes and a rather wimpy "Great Resignation" to warrant basically giving up on controlling Covid, then any labor disruptions on a larger scale would be complete disaster.

So, prepare for rightist siege tactics to improve using this information...)

It has been common for Covid super-spreaders to identify as their own tribe:
https://trueleft.createaforum.com/news/coronavirus/?message=9246

Even in Germany, the anti-social Covid hoaxers identify as as their own tribe--specifically, as Jews.

Well, they are correct about what needs to happen to anti-social elements! Too bad Germany has no leadership to do such a thing, however.

Must we sell Adolf Hitler souvenirs in the future?

The government says:
No tourist travel,
No overnight tourism in hotels,

What?

Just think, the biological material of humans has not changed in the past 100 years. These are the exact same kind of absolute retards that Hitler had to deal with and the exact same kinds of anti-social elements that had to be sent to the camps to ensure the integrity of society. (No offense to any individuals with actual clinical retardation, since even they are more corrigible than rightist degenerates, and were in fact treated with more empathy in NS Germany than the anti-social elements of society.)

Quote
How could the masses under Hitler allow themselves to be manipulated so stupidly?

Today's Corona-idiots give us the answer.

This was grouped with the other photos, so I assume it is not a counterprotest, but a Covid super-spreader who thinks they aren't the idiot:
https://old.reddit.com/r/HermanCainAward/comments/rnn7bl/after_my_previous_post_some_asked_if_germans/

Again, they wouldn't even need a vaccine if they weren't anti-social idiots spreading Covid at every opportunity. China, Vietnam, and other nations beat the virus before vaccines even existed. Think about that---China, where the virus started spreading and a nation with a massive population. They were able to control the virus because they had a competent government and citizens didn't have their brains rotted.

What annoys me is the Western arrogance with headlines such as: "Health experts say China's zero-COVID approach won't work with Omicron." Who are the health experts here? The ones in Western countries who have failed to control even the pre-Omicron variants, or the ones in China who - although indeed yet to defeat Omicron - have at least a track record of successfully stamping out every previous variant over the last two years?

Fauci is certainly no good:

https://twitter.com/rashidatlaib/status/1475841728733192200

Quote
@CDCgov is saying "we need people back to work quicker even if they are still sick." Is this based on public health and science? Or is this in response to corporations like Delta who asked for shorter times?

This decision is made as Omicron cases rise.

Quote
Public health decisions should be purely based on public health, not the needs of CEOs. I truly hope the CDC is making decisions that will keep us safe instead of protecting corporate bottom lines.

Meanwhile, here is a country with an actual government that works:
