The Galaxy announced their decision to “mutually part ways” with their new Serbian winger Friday in a one-sentence news release.

Tea Katai made the posts on her Instagram story earlier this week, and the Galaxy angrily condemned them as “racist and violent” on Wednesday.

The Instagram posts made by Tea Katai on Tuesday, which have since been deleted, mocked protests related to the killing of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis last week. One image showed a police SUV attempting to drive through protesters in New York. A caption in Serbian read, “Kill the ****!” while a second showed a picture of an individual carrying boxes of Nikes with the caption “Black Nikes Matter”.

The Galaxy met with Aleksandar Katai on Thursday. He disavowed his wife’s posts late Wednesday night, saying the “views are not ones that I share and are not tolerated in my family”.

OK..... So are you divorcing her?

Quote
On Thursday, he posted a message on Instagram calling the posts “a mistake from my family” and saying he took full responsibility, apologizing “for the pain these posts have caused the LA Galaxy family and all allies in the fight against racism”.

OK..... So are you going to put the above bullet through her head personally? If not, you are part of the problem.

I am getting tired of these husbands of racist wives pretending to apologize:

Tamara Harrian could not be reached for comment.

Husband's law firm drops to 1 star on Google

Robert Harrian owns the Harrian law firm in downtown Glendale, which he says received more than 1,000 negative reviews posted online since the video went viral.

A former assistant told him that before the video's rise to internet infamy, the law firm had two or three reviews. Before getting some taken down, there were about 1,300 negative ones, he said.

Internet users were able to reclassify the law firm on Google's first page as a public restroom and briefly changed the main photo to one of a building with a sign that reads "CLOWN MOTEL" in all caps.

"Yesterday the phone lines were so busy, I couldn't get a call in or out," Harrian said. "So many emails came into me that it crashed our email. When I opened it up this morning, I had 300 emails."

He worries his name will be tied to racism and that he'll lose work. He isn't sure his law firm, which employs less than 10 people, will survive.
...
"I don't have a racist bone in my body," he said. "I'm very, very sorry for what happened ... what my wife said and did and that whole scene. I'm very sorry."

If he is sincere, he should immediately divorce his wife at the very least. If he cannot do even that, why should anyone believe anything he says?

I don't believe him for a second. How could someone who isn't racist marry a racist? That's unfathomable to me. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the racist things she has said over the years doesn't amuse him on some level. Has he ever made an anti-racist argument to her after something she has said? If so, then this also serves as further evidence that racists cannot be reformed or taught not to be racist.

The headstone of an African man who was enslaved in the 18th Century has been smashed in two.

The Grade II* listed grave of Scipio Africanus is in St Mary's Churchyard in Bristol.
...
A message left in chalk on the flagstones near the grave said: "Now look at what you made me do.

"Put Colston's statue back or things will really heat up."

Trivia: the line in bold is one of the most common lines spoken by domestic violence perpetrators. This is fundamentally what rightists are.

DES MOINES – Two Iowa men have been arrested in connection to the assault of a 22-year-old Black man that the victim, Darquan Jones, his family and the NAACP of Des Moines say was racially motivated.

Dale Lee Millard was arrested Thursday morning and charged with willful injury causing serious injury. Millard, 28, "made admissions" to the May assault, which began near his property on the 100 block of E Titus Avenue and ended in a nearby creek bed, according to police reports.

During a Friday morning news conference, Des Moines police said an arrest warrant had been issued for a second suspect in the case. Jesse James Downs, 27, turned himself in a few hours later, at 1 p.m., and was charged with willful injury causing serious injury.

Jones, 22, suffered multiple facial fractures, a broken wrist and other injuries that required 10 stitches during the assault. He said he was choked, punched multiple times and dragged to the creek where his head was held underwater.
...
"I couldn't breathe, I just kept blacking out," he said. "I could see my whole life just going in and out, in and out."

The men dragged him to a nearby body of water — Jones described it as a creek — and held his head under the water in an attempt to drown him, he said.

Darquan Jones said he heard the **** of a gun before two women, who had heard his screams from an apartment nearby, went outside to see what was going on.

He said once the women got there, the suspects yelled racial slurs at them and ran off.

One of the women, Tyia Campbell, 40, told the Register the suspects were yelling that they "need to get out of our area, we're going to get all of you out of here.

Was Jones carrying a firearm? If not, why not? If so, why did he not use it?

Quote
A Burnley fan who chartered a plane and flew a White Lives Matter banner above the Etihad stadium shared a series of racist slurs on social media, it emerged today, as his girlfriend was suspended from her beauty job for her own bigoted posts.

Jake Hepple ranted about 'P***s' while his partner, Megan Rambadt, tweeted that her town was 'like a foreign country' before adding in a follow-up post, 'They need sending back on banana boats, stinkin b******s'.

Hepple, who has posted in support of the EDL on Facebook and appeared in a photo with its former leader, Tommy Robinson, claimed responsibility for the stunt last night, writing: 'I'd like to take this time to apologise... to absolutely f***ing nobody!'
...
The Burnley supporter had posted a string of offensive comments on Facebook, including a recent post that read: 'Why would anyone in their right mind pay £90 for the new England shirt when it probably cost a company full of tree swinging spear throwers about 80p to make? Not a chance I'm paying that.'
...
Meanwhile, Ms Rambadt recently complained about the number of foreigners in her town, writing: 'I love Burnley but I must admit it's pretty grim, that town centre is like a foreign country. Needs sorting.'

She added in a second tweet: 'They need sending back on banana boats, stinkin b******s'. Her Twitter account has since been deleted.

White Men Light Black Teenage Girl's Face on Fire in Wisconsin

It’s been one month since Minneapolis police officers killed George Floyd, and in some ways, it feels like the Black Lives Matter movement is receding from the headlines. A horrifying attack on a Black teenage girl is enough to remind us that racially motivated violence has gone nowhere, however. Althea Bernstein, an 18-year-old EMT and student, was driving her car in Madison, Wis., on Wednesday, when a group of white men lit her face on fire.

“I was listening to some music at a stoplight and then all of a sudden I heard someone yell the N-word really loud,” she said in an interview, according to Madison365. “I turned my head to look and somebody’s throwing lighter fluid on me. And then they threw a lighter at me, and my neck caught on fire and I tried to put it out, but I brushed it up onto my face.”
...
She said her attackers were four white men.

“Two of them were wearing all black, and then the other two were wearing jeans and a floral shirt,” she told the site. That’s significant, as right-wing counter-protesters have been wearing Hawaiian shirts, a symbol of the white nationalist “boogaloo” movement.

Where was her firearm?
