"A huge blaze has broken out in one of Russia's biggest chemical plants.

Dramatic footage shows smoke billowing from the Dmitrievsky Chemical Plant in the city of Kineshma, around 250 miles east of Moscow.

The site, the largest manufacturer of chemical solvents in the country, is around 950km from the border with Ukraine."

Wrapping up the first official U.S. visit to Ukraine since Russia invaded, Washington's top diplomat and its defense chief promised more military aid as battles raged in the east.

Former Australian prime minister Malcolm Turnbull discusses the assembly of a special tribunal to prosecute Russian President Putin for his crimes against Ukraine.

The German government has shifted its policy on Ukraine and announced it will deliver anti-aircraft tanks to the country. The tanks, which have not been used for about ten years according to military expert Thomas Wiegold, will now be used by Ukraine. However, training will be required before the tanks can be deployed.

"Ukraine clearly believes that it can win, and so does everyone here”: U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin kicked off defense talks with more than 40 countries by expressing confidence that Ukraine can prevail against Russia in the two-month-old conflict.

As Russia's invasion of Ukraine has transformed into a grinding war of attrition with no meaningful peace deal in sight, the US and its allies have begun to convey a new, longer-term goal for the war: to defeat Russia so decisively on the battlefield that it will be deterred from launching such an attack ever again. That message was delivered most clearly on Monday, when Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin told reporters after a trip to Ukraine's capital city of Kyiv that "we want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can't do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine." #CNN #News

He said: "It's completely legitimate for Ukraine to be targeting in Russia's depth in order to disrupt the logistics that, if they weren't disrupted, would directly contribute to death and carnage on Ukrainian soil."

James Heappey also detailed Russia's strategy in the Donbas. He said: " It's clear that their new strategic objective is a much more limited incursion to try to secure the entire Donbass. If the Kremlin were willing to stay out of it, and leave it to their military planners to design and then execute that campaign, I would be concerned that Russia still has a an overwhelming firepower, that the Ukrainians would be up against it to hold off. But the reality is that as we've seen in so much of the war so far, Putin can't resist interfering in the military planning."

FRESH images show the true scale of Vladimir Putin's "tank graveyard" after a spy drone found more destroyed armour left behind by Russia's "failing" troops in Ukraine.

The new pictures of the massive junkyard ten miles inside Russia reveal dozens more destroyed tanks, trucks and guns.

Ukrainian spy-drones spotted the graveyard in the village of Golvochino underlining the scale of Putin's battlefield losses.

Reconnaissance flights carried out by a Ukrainian intelligence unit based in a secret bunker near the border filmed dozens of pieces of damaged military hardware dumped in a field.

A single image of the site showed 57 vehicles including at least 17 tanks.

Now more drone images passed to The Sun show at least 15 more tanks in a neighbouring yard, as well 19 armoured personnel carriers, three towed howitzer guns and 58 more lorries.

Defence expert Rob Lee, who has tracked Russia's battlefield losses. said: "This shows there is more we haven't publicly recorded."

Russia claimed the site was shelled by Ukraine three days after the drone flight.

Earlier satellite images confirmed there were no vehicles at the site at Golovchino village when Putin unleashed his invasion on February 24 and only a handful on March 17, as the botched invasion faltered.

The Sun was granted exclusive access to join the Ukrainian team which launches its Ukrainian-built Leleka drone daily into Russian airspace with a catapult.

There are many photos of burnt out Russian tanks out there that have - at least  visually - explosive reactive armor bricks / elements that seem to be intact. The question why is this the case? Some people point out that the explosive elements were missing, but upon minor investigation this likely does not seem to be the reason. Chinese drone maker DJI Technology has temporarily suspended business in Russia and Ukraine. The largest consumer drone maker has become the first major Chinese firm to halt operations in Russia since the start of invasion in February. The company said that the decision was taken to ensure its products are not used in combat.

A RUSSIAN ammunition depot has exploded in what is suspected to be another strike by Ukraine across the border as they push back against Vladimir Putin.

The ammo dump in the Belgorod region was reportedly ablaze and pictures show a huge plume of fire and smoke billowing over the landscape.

Two more attacks were also suspected with reports of explosions in the regions of the Voronezh and Kursk.

Ukraine has not confirmed the strikes - but video appears to show anti-air missiles being fired in the area.

All three regions are along the border with Ukraine and the blasts come as Kyiv goes on the offensive.

Ukraine has been pushing the Russians back as Putin failed in his plan to bulldoze his way to victory in a matter of days.

The fighting continues to rage in Ukraine as Russia moves to cut off gas to Poland and Bulgaria. CBS News foreign correspondent Chris Livesay reports from Kyiv. Then, Joe Inwood from our partners at the BBC spoke with Anne-Marie Green and Vladimir Duthiers about how much of an impact the lack of gas will have and the explosions in Moldova that no one has owned up to yet.
