We should wait until the Ukrainians are exhausted from fighting the Russians and then bomb Ukraine (and Poland) ourselves (after evacuating the victims of racism above, of course)!

The EU would also be wise to kick Poland and Hungary out of the EU and grant Turkey immediate membership!

It is also interesting to note that the Ukrainian SS mutinied and joined the French Resistance in WWII, considering France's colonial history and present day Islamaphobia and racism as well....

Ukrainians block roads to Russian advance of 'Europe's biggest nuclear plant'
Quote
Ukraine on Wednesday accused Russia of risking nuclear catastrophe after vowing to defend Europeans largest atomic plant in Energodar.

Defenders are building barricades of trucks and protesting close to the plant to stop the advance of Russian troops.

Russia claimed on Tuesday to be in control of the area but this is disputed by the Ukrainian side.

Ukraine government official Anton Gerashchenko warned: “Because of Putin's madness, Europe is again on the brink of a nuclear catastrophe.’

He said “the city where the largest nuclear power plant in Europe is located is preparing for a battle with the invaders.
“The nuclear power plant is guarded by the heroes of the National Guard of Ukraine. They won't give up! There will be a fight. Shells will fire next to the nuclear power plant.

“They will not be able to break through the concrete shell of the reactor, but they will definitely damage transformers, turbines and other equipment necessary for the safety of the nuclear power plant.

“An accident can happen like at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant or the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Russian generals - think again!”

He called on them: “Don't create conditions for a new Chernobyl. Radiation does not know nationalities, one does not spare anyone!”

Why Russia’s Invasion Is Worrying Beijing
Quote
China attempted to distance itself from Russia as the scale of the invasion becomes clear, with Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday saying it was “absolutely imperative” for all sides to exercise restraint to prevent the conflict from “getting out of control.”

“China has been following the evolution of the Ukraine issue, and the present situation is something China does not want to see,” Wang Yi said in phone calls with top diplomats from the U.K., France and the European Union, according to a readout from the official Xinhua News Agency.

“The safety of ordinary people’s lives and properties should be effectively safeguarded, and in particular, large-scale humanitarian crises have to be prevented,” the report cited him as saying.

The comments came shortly after President Xi Jinping made his first remarks on the crisis, urging Russian leader Vladimir Putin in a phone call to solve the issue through talks with the Ukrainians. Putin later said he’s ready to authorize talks with Ukraine on a possible neutral status for the country, but it’s unclear when or if they will take place.

China has stood by Russia over the past month as tensions escalated, with Xi hosting Putin at the Olympic Games in Beijing and declaring their friendship had “no limits” in a lengthy statement.

China also endorsed Putin’s security concerns over the expansion of the NATO alliance and abstained Friday from a vote on a United Nations Security Council draft resolution, vetoed by Russia, that condemned the Ukraine invasion. Still, China’s statements since the invasion show an increasing discomfort, particularly with reports of heavy fighting in the capital Kyiv and other cities.

GERMAN navy ships left the northern port of Kiel on Monday (February 28) to reinforce NATO's northern flank as Alliance members rally in defence of Ukraine.

The departing vessels follow the corvette "Erfurt" and the fleet service boat "Alster" that left on Saturday under the motto: Not on our watch.

The ships’ departure coincides with a policy shift that means Germany will now supply Ukraine with defensive anti-tank weapons, surface-to-air missiles and ammunition.

After facing criticism for refusing to send weapons to Kyiv, unlike other Western allies, Chancellor Olaf Scholz said Berlin will supply Ukraine with 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger surface-to-air missiles from Bundeswehr stocks.

Twitter users have said that in an effort to evacuate Ukrainians ahead of other refugees, officials were segregating people by race to decide who got to pass through the border. Videos went viral purporting to show Black people from African nations being left stranded at Ukrainian train stations or being blocked from boarding trains, and groups of African and Indian students being menaced with guns and vans and pushed and beaten at the Polish border. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump shared a clip that showed a Black woman cradling an infant in a crowd at the Polish border, according to the caption, where the creator of the video said Black people were being denied passage and shelter. One Nigerian student told the BBC that an official told her “if you are Black, you should walk.”

If you are racist, you should be nuked.

Quote
On Monday, several African nations on the U.N. Security Council denounced the reported discrimination against African citizens. “We strongly condemn this racism and believe that it is damaging to the spirit of solidarity that is so urgently needed today,” Kenyan U.N. ambassador Martin Kimani said, in part. “The mistreatment of African peoples on Europe’s borders needs to cease immediately.” The U.N. ambassador from Gabon said the reported racism was “unacceptable.” In a statement, the African Union said, “Reports that Africans are singled out for unacceptable dissimilar treatment would be shockingly racist and in breach [of] international law.”

OK, so will Kenya, Gabon and other AU states bomb Ukraine after Russia finishes? Will the US supply Kenya, Gabon and other AU states with WMDs to do so? Or better yet, launch the WMDs itself? Because the only way to cease mistreatment of "non-whites" is to eliminate the bloodlines of the mistreaters. So do you want the mistreatment to cease or not?

Thousands of African and Indian students are trying to leave Ukraine and reportedly encountering what seems to be a de facto “Ukrainians first” policy that has guards sending Black and South Asian civilians to the back of lines, pulling them off of trains and buses to make room for white Ukrainians, and stranding them at the border for days. One student told CNN she saw guards violently preventing Indian men from passing through and pushing an Egyptian man so hard he was knocked unconscious.

For others, issues started before reaching border crossings. Claire Moor, another Black student, was pushed down as she tried to board a train at Lviv’s train station. The guard insisted that only women could take the train. The officer looked away, Moor said, as she pointed out that she was, indeed, a woman. “I was shocked because I did not know the extent of the racism,” she added.
...
the reception near Medyka has been more problematic as refugees were being organised based on “racial profiling”.

Ukrainians and Polish nationals are allowed to pass through the much quicker vehicles’ lane, while foreigners have to go through the pedestrian one, a three-stage process that can last from 14 to 50 hours, Moss said.

Russia blitzes Kharkiv with missiles as Putin orders city taken ‘at any cost’
Quote
RUSSIA has unleashed a devastating assault on Ukraine's second largest city Kharkiv after Vladimir Putin reportedly ordered his forces to seize it "at any cost".

The eastern city - which is just 25 miles from the Russian border - has already seen some of the bloodiest fighting of war as Moscow renewed its offensive last night with a barrage of strikes.

It comes as the Russian invasion of Ukraine enters its seventh day - with the conflict being the biggest war in Europe since World War 2.

And the world's eyes remain on the massed 40-mile long Russian convoy outside Ukraine's capital Kyiv.

Ukraine can expect further bloodshed today after Putin warned residents of the capital to leave ahead of "high precision strikes".

Across the wartorn country, defenders continue to mount a staunch resistance to the invader.

But it is feared Russia may soon begin to use even more brutal tactics.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the nation and Putin wants to "erase us all".

And some of these are already being felt in Kharkiv which has come under missile attack by Russian bombers.

Later, Erdogan is expected to attend the 10th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council between Turkiye and Ukraine.

Following the meeting, Erdogan and Zelensky are expected to sign various agreements and address a joint news conference in the capital city.

"On every platform, we voice Turkiye's support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty," he said.

Erdogan urged all parties to exercise self-restraint and engage in dialogue to ensure peace in the region.

He underscored the need to resolve disputes peacefully and on the basis of international law, and reiterated Ankara's readiness to do its part to establish an atmosphere of peace and trust in the region.

Two Africans trying to flee Ukraine amid Russia's invasion have claimed that Ukrainian border guards assaulted non-Ukrainians as they attempted to leave the country.

A Nigerian doctor, 24-year-old Chineye Mbagwu, told The New York Times that she witnessed Ukrainian guards preventing foreigners from crossing the Poland-Ukraine border and "beating up people with sticks."

"They would slap them, beat them, and push them to the end of the queue. It was awful," she told The Times.

Another escapee, 22-year-old French-Tunisian medical student Ahmed Habboubi, said the "Ukrainian army" had beaten him so severely that he "couldn't walk," The Times reported.

Habboubi said that foreigners were directed to a border gate that could only process four people an hour while Ukrainians were freely allowed through another passageway, according to the outlet.
...
"Some people have gone to get buses, but they're not allowing Black people basically onto the buses. They're prioritizing Ukrainians," added Sky, who is a British citizen of African heritage.

Reports have also emerged on Twitter of Black people being barred from various forms of transport departing Ukraine. In one video, a Twitter user wrote that African families had been left stranded at a train station.

I am quite sure that "white" non-Ukrainians were treated fine. Heck, even "white" RUSSIAN POWs - yes, the ones who came to kill Ukrainians! - are being treated better than peaceful "non-whites":

This is the ultimate proof that how you are treated by Ukrainians has nothing to do with whether or not you are Ukrainian and everything to do with whether or not you are "white".

The Lesson of Budapest? Hold On to Your Nuclear Weapons
Quote
Ukraine voluntarily surrendered its post-Soviet arsenal. Now that seems like a mistake.
Quote
Powerful images of the Ukrainian people’s unexpectedly stiff resistance to Russian invasion have shined a spotlight on the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. Under the agreement, Ukraine gave up the nuclear weapons on its territory. In exchange for this concession, Russia and the West pledged to respect the former Soviet state’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Then, in 2014, Russia seized Crimea, territory that was indisputably Ukrainian. Naturally, Ukrainians wondered whether they had left themselves exposed by giving up their nuclear deterrent 20 years earlier. Today, as Russia aims to subjugate the entire country, that question is again on at the front of Ukrainians’ minds. Many countries, including malign actors watching Russia’s actions, will inevitably now seek their own nukes. Vladimir Putin is demonstrating that these weapons give an aggressor license to attack and that without them, a peaceful nation is at the aggressor’s mercy.
