Russia's nuclear forces alert is a "distraction," says Boris Johnson
Quote
Boris Johnson made a speech at the Ukrainian Cathedral of the Holy Family in Mayfair, London on Sunday evening in which he told the congregation the UK “cannot shut our eyes” to the country’s plight following the Russian invasion.

'I think that's a distraction from the reality of what's going on in Ukraine. This is an innocent people who are facing a totally unprovoked act of aggression against them. And what's actually happening is that they are fighting back, perhaps with more effect, with more resistance than the Kremlin had bargained for. And I think that is what is really going on, and you can see some of the logistical difficulties that the Russian forces are experiencing. You can see and I think the Russian Defence Ministry have themselves conceded that they're having casualties. This is a disastrous misbegotten venture by President Putin. It can lead to no good whatever for Russia, as we in the West have said continuously from the beginning. It needs to end. If he has a proposal to negotiate and withdraw, then all the better.''

''Look, what's happening on the European continent is an absolute catastrophe. President Putin has decided to wage a war of choice against the people of Ukraine he's inflicting untold misery, violence suffering on a completely innocent population. If he wants to stop, if he wants to withdraw, if he wants to negotiate, that's very good news. I have my doubts. I've got to tell you it's nothing I've seen so far in his behaviour that leads me to think that he could possibly be sincere. But if he is, then we should pursue every avenue. But clearly, what needs to happen is he needs to withdraw his war machine from Ukraine.''

President Putin is 'at war with Europe' as far as he's concerned
Quote
Curtin University political analyst Professor Joe Siracusa says Russian President Vladimir Putin "only needs 15 minutes" to get his nuclear weapons "going in the direction he wants them to go".

Professor Siracusa spoke to Sky News Australia about the unfolding Russian invasion of Ukraine.

"In short, what Putin has right now - he's at war with Europe as far as he's concerned," Professor Siracusa said.

"And just to prove the point how dangerous he is - he's put his nuclear weapons on alert.

"What that means is - they're on a 15 minute alert - only needs 15 minutes to get these things going in the direction he wants them to go."

Quote
After the U.S imposed heavy sanctions against Russia aiming to degrade Moscow's military and space advancement, the Russian space agency chief has lashed out at Washington. ROSCOSMOS chief Dimitry Rogozin took to Twitter and explained the possible impact of U.S sanctions on the International Space Station. In a warning, Rogozin has said that if ISS de-orbit, it can drop on India and China. NASA has meanwhile assured ROSCOSMOS the new sanctions won't affect Russia-U.S ties in the space program. If you people weren't so afraid of death and discomfort we could put Putin down so quick it wouldn't even be funny. Russia wouldn't survive a nuclear war either, which would be much better for the universe, the cosmos, and non-human life, in the long run!
