Satellite images show destroyed Russian helicopters near Kherson.

NASA's Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS), which tracks large fires around the world, has taken images of destroyed Russian military helicopters at the Kherson International Airport in the village of Chornobaivka near Kherson.
That's according to CNN, Ukrinform reports.

According to the sensory data collected by FIRMS, the military strike occurred around 13:42 local time on March 15.

At least three Russian helicopters at the airport were destroyed by artillery shelling. Several military vehicles were also hit near the airport.

It's the most destructive known strike the Ukrainian military has conducted against Russian helicopters during the war, the report said.

On March 14, satellite images from Maxar Technologies showed a number of Russian military helicopters on the tarmac at Kherson's International Airport. Dozens of military vehicles are also seen in the surrounding area.
