Well, this is definitely not shaping up to be another Chechnya. And, I had no idea until today that the Russian military does not have an NCO corps like America and other nation's armies do. This is one major reason why Russian tactics are so bad. Ukrainian soldiers are also saying that without the Russian air-force they would be able to repel the Russian infantry completely. I understand the importance of not under estimating Putin too, however. But lest we forget those Russian tanks and ammo convoys are not cheap, and Russia is losing them left and right. Ukrainian forces often leave a battle with more equipment than they started with.

Putin certainly does not have complete control of Ukrainian air space, let alone Russian airspace, if Ukrainian forces can strike a Russian oil depot on Russian soil. I do not see why Putin would blow up a Russian oil depot on Russian soil....

The Ukrainian military’s use of weapons systems and tactics on top of Russia’s tactical failures have allowed Ukraine to outperform the more powerful Russian military.
