Scottish election: Sturgeon rules out working with Salmond and commits to Covid inquiry
Quote
Nicola Sturgeon has said she wants a public inquiry into her government's response to the pandemic to start later this year. She is the first UK political leader to set a timeframe for a Covid inquiry.

Boris Johnson has so far resisted calls to commit to a date, and Wales' First Minister Mark Drakeford has said it should take place "when the pandemic is behind us".

Ahead of Scottish parliament elections next month, the SNP leader has been speaking about the pandemic and her resistance to working with her former mentor, turned rival, Alex Salmond.

Can Scotland Leave Britain & Rejoin the European Union?
Quote
With the Scottish Parliamentary Elections just around the corner, the topic of Scottish Independence has resurfaced once again. Some Scots are especially keen to leave the UK because they then want to rejoin the EU, so in this video we explore that. We discuss why some Scots want to rejoin the EU, the SNP position on it and how Scotland could actually go about rejoining the European Union.

The union between the nations of the United Kingdom is looking increasingly fragile, thanks to Brexit. If Scotland were to break away from Britain it would face an uncertain future—as would the rest of the union.

Scottish Independence? What does the SNP Win Mean for Scotland's Exit?
Quote
Last week Scotts went to the polls to elect new MSPs and with the SNP very nearly scooping a majority we wanted to take a look at the implications of this win. We discuss the alliances which are already forming and if the SNP's win could lead to a second Scottish independence referendum and eventually the break up of the union. We also discuss some of the results out of Wales, where Labour did markedly better than in the rest of the UK.

SNP Commons leader Ian Blackford says Scotland would try and rejoin the EU if it became independent because "62% of those that live in Scotland voted to stay in the European Union" in the Brexit referendum.
