Watch: Kenyan envoy to UN stuns the world; Gives history lesson to Russia at Ukraine meet
Quote
Kenya offered a lesson on borders to the world at the UN Security Council meet in New York convened on the request of Ukraine. Kenyan representative to the UN, Martin Kimani took a firm position against the breach of Ukraine’s territorial integrity. “Kenya, and almost every African country, was birthed by the ending of the empire. Our borders were not of our own drawing. They were drawn in the distant colonial metropoles of London, Paris and Lisbon with no regard for the ancient nations they cleaved apart,” said Kimani. Precisely, if the Russian speaking people of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions feel more Russian than Ukrainian then they should have moved to Russia. Russia happens to also have plenty of lebensraum, it's not like Russia is a nation smack-dab in the middle of Europe with potentially hostile nations on all of it's borders. Furthermore, it's not like Russians are being expelled out of European countries simply for being ethnic Russians, even as Russia invades Ukraine. Putin's claims of "Russophobia" are certainly hyper-inflated at best....

Several hundred Wolf children were discovered in Lithuania after the separation from Russia. Today almost 100 still live there.[15] From the beginning of the 1990s on, Wolf children have fought for their German citizenship. They have their own association. The Federal Office of Administration within the German Federal Ministry of the Interior long held that persons who left Königsberg territory after World War II had renounced their German citizenship.

From January 1, 2008, on, compensation is granted by Lithuanian law for those persons who suffered on account of World War II and the Soviet occupation. Consequently, Wolf children get a small additional pension. In German laws, the Wolf children are not mentioned. From private sponsors they get a small quarterly stipend, organized by Wolfgang Freiherr von Stetten.[16]

Today, some Wolf children aim to learn the fate of their relatives, obtain German citizenship, reunite with their families, leave the country for Germany, and remain faithful to German culture.[17]
