This is a stupid idea. Individuals should follow whatever religion suits themselves individually. If ancient China had been identitarian and hence had insisted on only following religions of Chinese origin, Buddhism would never have spread successfully in China.

With that said, I agree that plenty of Chinese who convert to Christianity do so not because it suits them individually, but because of Eurocentrism.

I agree. If anything, it seems that they are the very ones who have now made the mistake of religious identitarianism and hence prefer Confucianism over Buddhism for identitarian reasons. This is why I keep warning against identitarianism.

But what makes it worse is that their identitarianism makes a sole exception for Western content! So to them, anything non-Chinese is bad, unless it is Western. This is the worst possible worldview to have. They refuse to learn from those whom they should be learning from, and learn from those whom they should not be learning from.
