Hitler knew how to deal with Greece:

a rapid German Blitzkrieg campaign commenced in April 1941, and by June (with the conquest of Crete) Greece was defeated and occupied.

Much of Greece was subjected to destruction of its industry (80% of which was destroyed), infrastructure (28% destroyed), ports, roads, railways and bridges (90%), forests and other natural resources (25%)[2][3][4] and loss of civilian life (7.02–11.17% of its citizens).[5][6] Over 40,000 civilians died in Athens alone from starvation, and tens of thousands more died from reprisals by Nazis and collaborators.[7]

Hitler's policy toward the economy of occupied Greece was termed Vergeltungsmassnahme, or, roughly, "retaliation measures", the "retaliation" being for Greece having chosen the wrong side

The most infamous examples in the German zone are those of the village of Kommeno on 16 August 1943, where 317 inhabitants were executed by the 1. Gebirgs-Division and the village torched; the "Holocaust of Viannos" on 14–16 September 1943, in which over 500 civilians from several villages in the region of Viannos and Ierapetra in Crete were executed by the 22. Luftlande Infanterie-Division; the "Massacre of Kalavryta" on 13 December 1943, in which Wehrmacht troops of the 117th Jäger Division carried out the extermination of the entire male population and the subsequent total destruction of the town; the "Distomo massacre" on 10 June 1944, where units of the Waffen-SS Polizei Division looted and burned the village of Distomo in Boeotia resulting in the deaths of 218 civilians; the 3 October 1943 "Lingiades massacre" where the German army murdered in reprisal nearly 100 people in the village of Lingiades, 13 kilometres outside Ioannina; and the "Holocaust of Kedros" on 22 August 1944 in Crete, where 164 civilians were executed and nine villages were dynamited after being looted. At the same time, in the course of the concerted anti-guerrilla campaign, hundreds of villages were systematically torched and almost 1,000,000 Greeks left homeless.[7]
Hitler invade Greece because he forced to did that, seeing Italy's attack to Greece was failed and need assistance, so the Nazis send troops to help Italy to occupy Greece and Balkans, this is his saying on that :
"The shameful defeats which they suffered caused certain of the Balkan States to regard us with scorn and contempt. Here, and nowhere else, are to be found the causes of Yugoslavia's stiffening attitude and her volte face in the spring of 1941.
This compelled us, contrary to all our plans, to intervene in the Balkans, and that in its turn led to a catastrophic delay in the launching of our attack on Russia. We were compelled
to expend some of our best divisions there. And as a net result we were then forced to occupy vast territories in which, but for this stupid show, the presence of any of our troops would have been quite unnecessary.
The Balkan States would have been only too pleased, had they been so allowed, to preserve an attitude of benevolent neutrality towards us. As for our paratroopers
I would have preferred to launch them against Gibraltar than against Corinth or Crete!" - Adolf Hitler

Hitler not invade Greece because he has empathy to victims of Greece domination in the past or pity to "non-White European" people who want to go and settle in Europe, he just wanted to vilify and attacking innocent socialist Russian people and try to wipe out them, then replace them with pure "white European German" people and other "White European" people from Western Europe whom he considered as "more civilized" than the Eastern half Asiatic people
Contrast to Stalin's policies and his worldview :
Soviet propaganda, both at home and abroad, depicted racism as an integral part of the American system: racism was described as “a fundamental feature of the social, industrial and political organization of the United States.”23 Soviet propaganda also emphasized the eradication of racial prejudice as one of the achievements of Communism.
In the 1930s in particular, the Soviets spent a great deal of energy trying to convince black visitors to the Soviet Union and their compatriots at home that the Soviet Union represented not simply a “workers' paradise” but a paradise for all races.Source : Mark Solomon, The Cry Was Unity: Communists and African Americans, 1917–1936 (Jackson: University Press of Mississippi, 1998).

The claim to be free from Western-style race discrimination was partly true.
The Soviet constitutions of 1918 and 1936 declared equality of rights of all citizens.24 Soviet ethnic and national categorizations did not align with the racialized thinking that prevailed in the United States and Western Europe.25

Historian Maxim Matusevich concludes that for the most part, the anti-racist rhetoric of the government “did, in fact, penetrate the fabric of Soviet society.”44 It was foreign whites, especially Americans, Canadians, and Britons, who committed the most serious incidents of racism, leveling verbal insults and physical attacks on their darker-skinned compatriots.45

The predominant theme in the press coverage was the supposed lack of national and racial differences among workers in the Soviet Union, contrasted with the racism and injustice of American society. “This is not bourgeois America,” declared the headline in Rabochaia Gazeta.66 Komsomol'skaia Pravda proclaimed that “all workers are brothers, regardless of the color of their skin.”67 Trud likewise declared that
“the U.S.S.R. is the fatherland of black, yellow, and white races,” and went so far as to claim that the incident at Stalingrad was “the only example” of a racially motivated attack “throughout the entire existence of the U.S.S.R.”—and that “it must be the last.”68
