OLD CONTENT contd.

If you really want to understand how imbecilic Duchesne is, read this:

www.eurocanadian.ca/2019/01/transcendental-mind-europeans-stands-above-embedded-mind-asians.html

Quote
The advocates of cross-cultural dialogue, anthropologists generally, and the multicultural West, think that understanding other cultures entails adopting the other culture's perspective, putting oneself inside the shoes of the other inhabitants, by bracketing one's own particular perspective. Westerners, they insist, must let go of their own cultural presuppositions, their individualistic and rationalistic outlooks, if they are to grasp the perspective of the Other. The Western worldview is only one among many, and using this perspective is bound to obfuscate matters, result in the imposition of one's concepts upon the other.

What cultural relativists have failed to understand is that only the West developed appropriate philosophies, disciplines (ethnography, anthropology) and methodologies (pragmatism, historicism, hermeneutics) to understand other cultures and other historical epochs, because only the West produced a transcendental mind able to stand outside its own cultural norms, understand how it is bounded by a particular context. In this respect, insofar as the Western self learned to grasp the limitations of its thinking, it learned to stand above any limiting context, and thus demonstrate its unconditional character.

In other words, he himself instantly commits [in bold above] the very thing that the anthropologists explicitly warn him not to commit [in italics above], while thinking that by doing so he has discredited the anthropologists, when in reality it only proves the anthropologists all the more correct (in foreseeing that he cannot help but be tempted to do so)!

And the rest of his article is just repetition after repetition of his exact same mistake using different examples, while sincerely believing he is writing something insightful!

(He is also wrong to call all who disagree with him "cultural relativists". Cultural relativism is the claim that there is no way to determine superiority between different cultures. It is perfectly possible to believe that superiority between different cultures can be determined, without believing that superiority must be judged by Western standards!)

“More hubris from Duchesne (by the way, what kind of prick puts "Dr." in their Twitter name?)”

“Dr. David Duke”
“Dr. Henry Makow” (Ph. D)

Since white men invented all the disciplines and wrote all the greatest books

More accurately: since it was "white" men during the colonial era who got to decide what counts as a "discipline" and what does not, and what counts as a "great book" and what does not

Quote
must be discarded with "better" books by Mestizos.

And this "white" man Duchesne does not even have a grasp of grammar. (I think he means to say "discarded in favour of".)

---

He also excessively uses the word "bespeaks", perhaps to showcase his supposedly extensive vocabulary.

---

Duchesne outdoes himself:

Quote
The pursuit of truth is uniquely European, and that's why whites are the most honest in the world.

And I suppose that's why "whites" are the ethnic group most likely to support Trump. It must be because they see how truthful Trump is.

Duchesne is correct about Trump embodying "white masculinity" (the practical effects of which we get to see every day:

Now imagine if Trump ran the whole world. That's what Duchesne thinks is "rightful", apparently.

Quote
"it is expected that males with wealth and power" will employ their surpluses to "secure as many mates as possible". This is evolutionary biology 101.
...
White elite men were the only ones in history who did not follow this biologically prescribed tendency.
...
What stands out for MacDonald about the Catholic Church was its ability to regulate the sexual behavior of powerful White men in a monogamous direction away from the strong inclination of such men for polygamous relations. Essentially what the Church did was to instill strong religious norms (about mortal sin and punishment in Hell) in the mental processing of the higher brain centers of aristocratic men, damping down the instinctive appetite of the lower parts of the brain for multiple mates.

No it didn't, Duchesne! All it did was to encourage men to pump-and-dump their multiple mates, which enabled the rich/powerful men to go through even larger numbers of women than would have been possible if they were required to formally marry them all.

Duchesne exalts Western architecture, denigrates non-Western architecture such as pyramids as "pile of stones":

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyscraper#Environmental_impact

Quote
Skyscrapers have considerable mass, which means that they must be built on a sturdier foundation than would be required for shorter, lighter buildings. Building materials must also be lifted to the top of a skyscraper during construction, requiring more energy than would be necessary at lower heights. Furthermore, a skyscraper consumes a lot of electricity because potable and non-potable water has to be pumped to the highest occupied floors, skyscrapers are usually designed to be mechanically ventilated, elevators are generally used instead of stairs, and natural lighting cannot be utilized in rooms far from the windows and the windowless spaces such as elevators, bathrooms and stairwells.

Duchesne achieves a new level of stupidity:

Quote
How was African history "erased" if Whites wrote almost 100% of the books on African history and invented ALL the fields for it: paleontology, archaeology, linguistics, anthropology?

THAT'S HOW!
