How "Moderates" Serve The Right
Quote
This week we're talking about everyone's favorite grillpilled neighbor - the American "centrist" or "moderate". As much as they like to see themselves as enlightened arbiters of progress, centrists are little more than spoilers for actual democratic progress at best, and complete lackeys for the Right in most cases. Let's look at the insufficiency of the moderate worldview!

Why France Has No Left Wing (with any hope of winning) - TLDR News
Quote
The French Election's coming round fast, and while Macron looks likely to hold onto his position, it's possible that another candidate could snatch it at the last moment. It could be Le Pen, it could be Zemmour, but one thing's for sure... it'll be a right winger. So in this video, we explain why France has no real left-wing candidates and what's lead to the collapse of the left in the country.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cX5oGShopDU

It seems most nations that take the French Revolution as an inspiration do not have a strong left-wing, including the U.S.! Odd how that worked out isn't it?

How Left Is The American Left...And Why Didn't Socialism Catch On Here?
Quote
Every minute of every day, the media and most Americans yell about how the Democrats are going "too far left." For the rest of the world, this is an absurd statement, but the average American believes it...why? In this episode, we're talking about the Democrats, how left-wing they really are, and why socialism has never really found a foothold in the United States.

Ironically, the term "left wing" itself was invented by French freemasons to refer to those who were pro-democracy during the French revolution, in opposition to the monarchist "right wing". But this is the False Left definition of the term. We, as True Leftists, are reclaiming the term.

Trump officials privately mocked pro-choice Sen. Susan Collins for being manipulated into backing then-Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, sources told Rolling Stone.
...
Some Trump administration officials privately mocked the senior senator from Maine for her public support of Roe, crassly referring to her as a "cheap date," sources told the outlet.
...
A former top Trump aide told Rolling Stone that the belief was that Collins would decide to vote "yes" on her own as long as she got the correct responses from Kavanaugh.

During mock hearings and prep sessions that the Trump administration held for Kavanaugh, the then-prospective justice would avoid revealing how he would vote if an opportunity to overturn Roe arose.

Instead, he would give "lengthy, detailed monologues on dissents, opinions, and precedents," Rolling Stone reported.

So the Democratic Party probably spends more money HELPING TRUMPERS than it does helping "risky" leftist candidates? Wtf???

Quote
The Races Where Democrats Are Rooting For Election Deniers

The party is hoping to shape GOP primaries to favor beatable candidates, but some fear they’re playing with fire.

Democrats are attempting to steer the course of Republican primaries at an unprecedented level ahead of November’s midterm elections, spending millions of dollars to promote GOP candidates they view as weak ― even if those candidates embrace the very lies about the 2020 election that the party calls an existential threat to democracy.
[...]
But pundits both on the left and among “Never Trump” conservatives have criticized the strategy as risky, and reminiscent of the party’s hopes in 2016 that Trump himself, a supposedly “unelectable” candidate, would secure the GOP presidential nomination.

“In an environment like this, you want to go against a candidate that gives you the best chance to win. But there are no guarantees in this business,” said Mike Mikus, a Pennsylvania-based Democratic strategist. “But sometimes you have to push the crazy person over the top, and play the odds.”
[...]
Still, Democrats don’t have to go back far to see the potential risks of their strategy. In 2020, national Democrats spent millions trying to boost former Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, a Trump acolyte and anti-immigration zealot, believing he would give their Senate candidate, state Sen. Barbara Bollier, a chance to win in a typically red state.

The campaign failed, with Republicans nominating Rep. Roger Marshall instead. Marshall went on to defeat Bollier in the Senate race by almost 12 percentage points ― a margin indicating Kobach almost certainly would have won the general as well.

High-stakes strategies like this can only succeed if the Democratic Party is willing to go all-in and do whatever it takes to win. But they aren't even willing to press criminal charges against Trump and other coup organizers who have confessed to their crimes, ffs...

This is why there is such a massive risk of Democrats helping to cover up the coup attempt. Why the hell are they helping to push the Overton Window to the right??? They clearly haven't learned anything from 2016 when they spent 24/7 giving free air time to Trump in order to help him.

France does what Italy should have done:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/france-let-migrant-boat-dock-101336542.html

Quote
France to let migrant boat dock, has harsh words for Italy

PARIS (Reuters) -France said on Thursday it would allow an NGO ship carrying more than 200 migrants rescued in the Mediterranean to dock at the port of Toulon, while harshly criticising Italy for not taking the boat in.

Immigration is a hot-button issue in both countries, and French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said the right-wing Italian government's ban on the charity vessel, which had been stuck off Sicily for days, was "reprehensible" and "selfish".

"In this context, France decided on an exceptional basis to make up for the Italian government's unacceptable behaviour and to invite the ship to come to the military port of Toulon," Darmanin told a news conference.

only to then immediately reveal its disingenuousness:

Quote
"There is no doubt that it was in Italy's research and rescue zone," said Darmanin, adding "there will be extremely strong consequences for the bilateral relationship".

To start with, France will not take in some 3,000 migrants who had arrived in Italy and which he said Paris had previously agreed to take in. The French would also reinforce controls at its borders with Italy to prevent migrant crossings, he said.

Accepting 200 in exchange for rejecting 3000? Sounds like an attempt to placate rightists:

Quote
With French politics veering to the right, and the far-right National Rally (RN) the second biggest-group in the lower house of parliament, President Emmanuel Macron's centrist government is also under mounting pressure over immigration.

Which never works anyway:

Quote
The far-right was quick to react to the decision to let the Ocean Viking dock, with the RN's Marine Le Pen tweeting that he was being "dramatically" soft on immigration.

Smallest German governing party stalls on citizenship reform

BERLIN (AP) — Senior members of the smallest party in Germany’s coalition government are seeking to hit the brakes on plans to ease the rules for obtaining German citizenship, arguing Monday that the government must first do more to ensure that people who are in the country illegally are deported.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, a member of his center-left party, have signaled in recent days that they're keen to move ahead quickly with liberalizing the rules — one of a series of modernizing reforms that Scholz's three-party coalition agreed to tackle when it took office nearly a year ago.

But senior lawmakers with the pro-business Free Democrats, who tended to ally with the center-right bloc before joining Scholz's coalition last year and who are now struggling in the polls, have pushed back on that plan.

https://www.france24.com/en/europe/20221206-macron-makes-second-attempt-to-crack-down-on-illegal-immigration-with-new-law

Quote
French President Emmanuel Macron is set to make a second attempt at increasing expulsions of illegal immigrants under fierce pressure from his far-right opponents.

Macron's centrist government unveiled the outlines of a new draft immigration law on Tuesday that will be debated formally in parliament in early 2023.

It comes just four years after a 2018 law with similar objectives, passed during Macron's first term in office, which also aimed to take the heat out of an explosive political issue.
...
Speaking to the Parisien newspaper at the weekend, Macron pitched the new legislation as a means of addressing the historic rise of the far-right National Rally, which in June became the biggest opposition party in parliament.

"We need a policy that is firm and humane in line with our values," the 44-year-old said. "It's the best antidote to the extremes which feed off anxieties."

It is not an antidote. It is acceptance of the RN worldview, which will only increase its confidence.

Quote
French far-right leader Marine Le Pen, who scored 41 percent in the second round of April's presidential election, regularly accuses the government of laxity and "submerging" France with foreigners.

And now with the new law you are telling everyone that you agree with her. Which will only embolden her to push rightwards even harder:

Quote
"I don't expect anything (from the new law)," she said on Tuesday. "They will talk to us again about balancing firmness and humanity. We've heard that for decades.

See? You can never defeat evil by appeasing it. The only way to defeat evil is to exterminate it.

Even if it were true (it is not) that France does not have space to house refugees, the correct response is to make space by exterminating the 41% of the population who voted for RN and then giving their former homes to refugees. Indeed, despite France actually having space to house refugees, the 41% of the population who voted for RN should still be exterminated to make refugees safer. This is the only antidote to rightism.

Quote
People from 15 different charities and some left-wing MPs demonstrated in front of the national assembly on Tuesday to denounce what they termed the "hostile" attitude of the government to migration.

But the supposedly centrist Macron will never listen to them. Centrists only ever listen to rightists.
