@90sRetroFan The Aryanism website says that the presence of Krishna represented predominance of Turanian blood over the blood of the Solar dynasty, but Krishna’s name means black/dark/dark blue, and aside from blue, some degree of black skin seems to be another common color to depict him. What do you think the significance is of his name and how he’s generally depicted? Dark skin would make sense for someone of more aboriginal ancestry, but probably not for a Turanian. Naming someone after their surface appearance seems a bit crude, so maybe there was some sort of esoteric or religious significance and it has nothing to do with ancestry at all, but I’m just curious

So I stand by my assertion that Krishna was Turanian. As for Krishna's name, while I agree with your etymology, the colour need not be skin colour. Why not eye colour?

But even if for the sake of argument we insist it is skin colour, that could be due to partial non-Turanian ancestry, which does not negate the rest of his ancesty being Turanian.

I covered the Yadav caste in the Turanian diffusion thread. However I will note that present day Yadavs' claims of descent from the Yaduvanshi are dubious, as the former were purely a nomadic pastoral caste, while the latter seem to have had some aristocratic background.

Either way, Krishna worship in its modern form seems to have some Aryan leanings. For example, the Bhakti movement, which is mainly centered around Krishna worship, promotes a vegetarian diet. I also recently visited a Krishna temple (Guruvayurappan) in New Jersey that serves full vegan food.

Similar to the above. They definitely represent a different ideal than the Western one, but that does not imply it is one that we should be satisfied with.

If you view an animal as a person, you would obviously not kill it for meat, because you would prefer to keep it unchanged.

I prefer my outlook to the one outlined in your quoted response, as mine also exposes the degeneracy of those who celebrate fertility (though in this case the responder's use of the term "divine" is etymologically accurate - it's just that the devas were actually the bad guys as we already know).

@90sRetroFan @rp Do you guys have any opinions on ISKCON? I find them pretty interesting, in the sense that they’re the one example of successful Hindu proselytization in “the West”. And I also appreciate that whenever they set up shop within colleges, the food that they offer seems to usually be all vegan. I respect that they’re not all sticking to lacto-vegetarian dogmatism, and evolving to suit the greater pro-vegan tide. But I think that their methods of proselytization can be a bit iffy, and that gives them somewhat of a bad reputation. The founder also didn’t say anything TOO bad throughout his life, but it sounds like he’s said some stuff that at least raised a few eyebrows
