At least Crystal doesn’t have the typical 3D CG art style like Miraculous Ladybug, that popular Sailor Moon-inspired show that came out in 2015 and got really popular:
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miraculous_1.pngThere have been attempts by certain Japanese studios to create cartoons in a 3D art style as well (including Studio Ghibli with their movies), but most of these attempts seem to have been ridiculed so far. In “the West” though, 3D CG animation is basically inescapable (either because 3D is genuinely preferred, or more likely because it’s easier and more cost effective than other forms of animation)
Anyways, I’ve been listening to this on repeat, because I’ve been extremely down in the dumps lately:
I’m realizing that I’m not very useful in threads like these, because my music pool at any given time is very shallow. It’s hard to find good songs that inspire me emotionally, so I mostly just listen to the same few songs every single day on repeat, until I accidentally stumble upon another song that I like, and then that song usually replaces another song in my tiny pool, just so that I can retire it for a bit
Also, I’ve been watching Sailor Moon for the first time, and I really like Usagi’s characterization. She’s lazy, but has a strong sense of justice that compels her to action despite her laziness. I feel like that’s the perfect combination for a hero, because that type of person is much less likely to abuse the power bestowed upon them
Speaking of songs that inspire me, I really like Soldier of Love (Ai no Senshi). I’m feeling really battered down lately as I mentioned, so the lyrics make me feel a bit better
