I returned recently to the "Ego-Hacker" community on the internet to see what they've been up to recently. Well, it appears they've now attached human psychology to gender, without realizing that men and women have different gender roles dependent on the system they are organizing their power under. A man and women have very different gender roles in a tribalist society than they would in a nationalist society. It does seem like many C.G. Jung followers are promoting tribalism with out even realizing that this is exactly what they're doing!

When I asked Gemini:
"which mechanisms have impacted human evolution the most, gender roles, or the mechanism of Tribalism versus Nationalism?"
Gemini Answered:
From an evolutionary anthropology perspective, the mechanism of tribalism has impacted human evolution more profoundly than gender roles or modern nationalism, because it served as the foundational driver for human cognitive, cultural, and social development over hundreds of thousands of years.
While gender roles heavily dictate social organization and reproductive strategies, tribalism acts as the ultimate filter of natural and multilevel selection, shaping our unique capacities for language, cooperation, and complex reasoning.
1. Why Tribalism Outweighs Gender Roles 1:
It Created the Scale-Free Human BrainFor 99% of human history, survival depended on the collective. Natural selection favored individuals who could form strong inner bonds to defend against rival hominin groups. This "coalitional conflict" forced the brain to evolve language, theory of mind, and moral systems to keep the tribe unified. Without tribalism, the social brain hypothesis suggests humans would never have evolved the intelligence required to build complex civilizations.
2. Gender Roles are Byproducts, Not the Foundation:
While biological sex drives certain reproductive strategies, "gender roles" as we know them are highly flexible and environmentally contingent.
3. Why Tribalism Outweighs Nationalism. Nationalism is an "App" Running on Tribal Hardware. Nationalism is an incredibly recent historical invention. The human brain did not evolve to naturally comprehend belonging to a group of 300 million anonymous citizens. Instead, nationalism is a cultural technology that hijacks our ancient tribal machinery—our evolutionary preference for shared markers, rituals, flags, and common enemies—and scales it up.
4. The Persistence of Tribal Bias:
When national institutions fracture or fail, human behavior universally collapses back into pure tribalism (such as hyper-partisan politics, sectarianism, or ethnic conflict). Scholars writing for Psychology Today note that our cognitive biases are intrinsically calibrated for small-scale group loyalty, making tribalism a permanent fixture of our evolutionary psychology, while nations remain fragile and temporary.
How They Interact: The "Male Warrior" HypothesisEvolutionary psychologists point out that these mechanisms are not completely separate. Under the "Male Warrior" hypothesis published on PubMed Central, tribalism actively shaped human gender roles. Because inter-tribal warfare required fierce coalitional defense, selective pressures favored males who exhibited high in-group loyalty and out-group aggression. This link demonstrates that tribalism acted as the primary evolutionary crucible, while gender roles adapted to fulfill the tribe's survival needs.
CS Joseph, the host for "The Ego-Hackers" community seems to be talking a lot about "soldier ants" versus "worker ants" also...
Gender roles adapted to fulfill a tribe's survival needs, not a nations!!!
