Fox News confirmed it will not broadcast or provide full live coverage on the first public hearing on the Jan 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, which is set for June 9 in primetime. The long-awaited hearing will take place at the same time as Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity’s usual slots, but the company said that it will cover the hearing only ‘as news warrants’ in a press release. Instead, it will broadcast the hearing on its business network, with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum set to offer live coverage.

Fox News’ disinterest in comprehensively covering the January 6 hearings is unsurprising but noteworthy, given the breathless, nonstop coverage they have lent to other political investigations in the past of much lesser magnitude, such as Benghazi.

‘Fox News ran 1,098 primetime segments on Benghazi from the day of the attack until the committee hearings, which they carried live for more than 7 hours. Today they announced they won’t cover the hearings on the January 6th insurrection,’ said Sawyer Hackett, a Democratic communications strategist, in a tweet on Monday.

Would love to find out that some of them will be arrested for their involvement in the insurrection. They certainly had some involvement in it

Why would a company want to broadcast something it's news anchors may have some involvement in.

We know multiple people from fox texted Mark meadows on January 6th. That's almost guaranteed to be talked about at some point. Who knows if there's anything else that hasn't been made public yet

Just putting Tucker Carlson behind bars alone would go a tremendous way in allowing Americans to heal from the Western sickness I reckon...
